I say that quite often, too. And I used it a lot with my kids when they were young. They'd ask for something and I'd say "we'll see", which really meant no! LOL...
I love both of them. Do you also say "suck on that?" We took it easy for part of today. And right when we thought it would quiet down after visitors, we're busy again. We had to clean the house because tomorrow and Monday we have people coming to see the house. Hoping someone will bite... How goes you? I'll have to shoot out an email when this craziness ends.
I seem to say "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" to a lot of my nine-year-old's endless questions! When writing, I use the word "just" a lot which I am trying to stop because it minimises. I can't think of any specific examples from myself so I'll use a song quote "I'm just a girl" - that is so different to saying "I'm a girl". Just a girl. Nothing much. Minimised.
Awesome is pretty standard, eh? I use it often. Apparently it's somewhat of an annoying word for some, to which I say "suck on it". I like the sonovabitch. It fits perfectly sometimes :)
i think i say those lots with retail, which does a funny thing if one has worked retail probably, much more patient/kinder to cerks i think. anyway have a great weekend martha =]
"Jangan monyet, jangan!" Translation "NO monkeys, don't!" There is a story behind this, but it was lost to the children. I call my unruly students monkeys.
Mine is get it? Also, do you know what I mean, which is more than 3 words.
ReplyDeleteBetty

DeleteWe'll see is one I say a lot, I'm not sure about any others
ReplyDeleteI say that quite often, too. And I used it a lot with my kids when they were young. They'd ask for something and I'd say "we'll see", which really meant no! LOL...

DeleteI say "anyway" a lot. Also, "you can't be serious" and "to be fair..."
ReplyDelete"Anyway" seems to be quite common. I use that often, too. I like your "to be fair" phrase. I don't hear that very much.
DeleteOops, there it is! (sort of sing it)
ReplyDelete"let's not bicker about who killed who" (from Monty Python)
Dang gum.
My granddaughters have got me saying "Snap" a lot this summer but I'm sure when they all go home I won't have as much reason to say it!!! Teenagers!
Hahaha! Yours were all funny. Now you got me stuck on that "oops, there it is" song!
DeleteMine are profane, so I won't mention them.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie

Ahem! Okay! How so? Some people use things so often that it really gets on your nerves.
ReplyDeleteThat is true. But I try to cut them some slack because I'm sure I say things that upset others, too!
DeleteWhat? (my hearing is a bit flawed)
ReplyDeleteI love you.
Drive safe.
Your second two are very sweet!

"God willing" My mom says that all the time, Christine! You made me think of her :)

DeleteI see , luv ya , anyways !
ReplyDeleteGood stuff!
DeleteI'm sure mine all involve profanity. But the ones that don't are "whatever", "Trixie, out of there!" (Trixie is my dog), and "I'm so tired."
ReplyDeleteSounds like Trixie gets into a lot of things! Must be adorable :)
DeleteRight?!
