Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging pals. How is everyone doing? What have you been up to lately? Not much to report on my end. We've been pretty sluggish, mostly because of the extremely hot days we've been experiencing for what seems like forever. A good portion of the summer has been like this:

But we did finally have get rain on the weekend. And last night when we took a walk it was cooler. Still a little humid, but cooler. What's it been like where you live?

While you get ready to answer that, I'll put together some funny stuff to start this day off right. Enjoy.

Have a good one!

  2. LOL with Custer's 2nd to Last Stand. I too loved them all!

Actually it is quite pleasant here in Phoenix at about 100-105 degrees. Low humidity so its not that uncomfortable. You can tell just a bit that we are starting to cool down a bit; a little change in the air, a little cooler breeze, etc. Still hot days ahead but a touch of fall at times :)

    1. Signs of fall will be showing up more and more now that we're past the halfway point of August. It's hard to believe how quickly summer is going by!

  3. Hey Martha,

Aha, Ontario has left the planet. Heat? "Wave" it goodbye and hello to some much needed rain, eh. Nice chuckles. How Kool-Aid is the last photo and caption!

    Take it easy,

    Gary :)

    1. Gary, my friend, you always make me smile! How are you doing? Is it just as hot where you are? We got a lot of rain today - FINALLY - and I'm hoping it starts to cool off a little bit. I hope you are well!

    2. Martha, I'm delighted I can make you smile. I'm not doing particularly well. I have a flight booked for Vancouver for September 19 and for the first time ever, I'm getting a lot of grief from the Canadian immigration authorities. I feel unwelcome going back to my other home. A long story and I shall be posting about it very soon. It has been rather hot here in England. Glad you got the much needed rain. I shall be well once this farcical Canadian situation is resolved. Take care, my kind friend.

  4. Custer is too funny! Here in NC it is abut 100% humidity with about 94 degree heat. That equals about 3 outfits per day that I sweat through.

  10. I love Custer's stand, and I love lemon custard ice cream too. I know, there's no logic to this comment. But I had to have some lemon custard ice cream the other day, because it was so hot.

    Keep smiling, Martha.
