(Holiday) Question Of The Day

Definitely this one:

And this is the runner up:

Hey, don't judge me. Sure they're pretty despicable at first but they eventually reform. Everyone deserves a second chance, no?

Your turn!

  1. Everyone deserves a second chance, Martha! For sure! Scrooge immediately came to mind. My favorite has to be Rudolph. I came close to meeting him once when I was little. I heard him and his cohorts on the roof next door. I was really excited, but Dad told me I'd better get to sleep quickly or Santa would skip our house. fortunately I fell asleep while Santa was busy nest door. I will never forget the clip-clopping of those hooves landing on our neighbors' roof! Have a happy day!

  2. I like Frosty the Snowman :) And of course who can resist the Grinch; especially when his heart starts to grow and grow and grow!

    1. That's the best part, isn't it? That his heart grows so big!

  4. Befana is definitely my favorite. She is a 'she' first of all and way, way, way before Santa took to delivering toys in his flying sleigh she rode her broom and delivered to toys to all the kids. She is completely missing from our Christmas stories.

    1. Toni, I actually had to look her up because I had no idea who she is. The witch of Christmas. I love it! How come we don't know about her?

  5. George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life.

    Love,

  7. I have to say that Mr. Bean has a special place in my heart - partly because I enjoy all his skits, but mostly because our kids liked to replay the Christmas skits every year, so I associate good family times with those clips.

    1. You should watch the one with Jim Carry in 2000. That was fun. But most of all, watch the original cartoon from way back in 1966. A classic!

  10. Emmet Otter! I'll bet you've never heard of him. there was a Christmas program called Emmet Otter's Jug band. I haven't seen it for a long time and can't find it, but if you do watch it.

    1. You are right! I haven't heard of him. So I looked it up. It reminds me of the Muppets and Sesame street. I'm not surprised because Jim Henson is behind all of them!

    1. It does do that to you. Can you believe that I didn't finally watch it until a few years ago. Yeah. I took that long. I can thank the most amazing man in the world for encouraging me to finally FINALLY see it.

  15. I like your picks. I don't know that I have a favorite character as I love all the Christmas stories. So many of them have an endearing message.

  16. Tim Allen's "The Santa Clause" is a favorite in my family but my ultimate, favorite characters are those portrayed by Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire in "Holiday Inn." Not exactly "Christmas characters" but that's generally the only time I seem them!
