Project 366: Week 51

Week 51. I’m almost done. I admit to being a little lazy with these shots as this project comes to an end. But I don’t apologize. It’s been very busy around here and just the fact that I’m keeping up with this is somewhat of a miracle!

What I've learned this week:
The best gift you can give someone is your time.
Endings lead to new beginnings.
Anger is pointless. It doesn’t solve problems and it is exhausting.
Don’t take everything that people say personally. Some people were simply born without the tact gene.

A happy day to all!

  1. Great photos, ice is so beautiful on trees, not so beautiful when trying to walk on it.

    1. That's right. Not so beautiful when you're trying to walk on it! Otherwise, very nice.

  5. I love your last line about some people not being born with a fact gene. I think I know a few of those people :)

Great pictures, made me a bit cold though with all the snow!

    1. If you're not used to it, the cold can be very exhausting. I don't like the long winters but I've been here my whole life and it's something we expect.

    1. I can certainly understand that! I'm not a fan of the long winters here. I like a little snow for Christmas but that's about it.

    1. No. This project ends this year. I might do some type of photography project in 2017 but not a one photo per day type.

  9. Another super selection.
We've had no snow in my part of the UK but we did see a white world this morning with a very heavy frost!

I so agree with this "The best gift you can give someone is your time."

    All the best Jan

    1. Time. The best thing in the world. It also gifts us with wonderful memories.

  10. I reaLLY LIKE THE THIRD ONE. ANGER IS SUCH A WASTE OF TIME.

  11. Enjoyed your photos...and very good words of wisdom! I definitely agree on #1. When my parents didn't have us do any gift exchanges or gift giving on holidays or birthdays because they didn't want us to become materialistic and develop expectations for receiving only to be disappointed. I'm glad they did what they did. As an adult now, stuff really doesn't matter that much to me. People matter and time spent with those you love matters. It was a good lesson to learn.

I also like your other pointers. Every time I'm tempted to get upset I try to just realize it isn't worth it. If I let something upset me, I'm giving it importance it doesn't deserve. My joy, good health, and peace are worth so much more.

    2. Your parents sound like lovely people, Bethany. You are very fortunate. The things we teach our children when they're young are the things they will carry with them into their future.

    3. Oh, and never worry about your spelling. I know your grammar is excellent and whatever mistakes I see, they're just typing errors! Sometimes our fingers move faster than our brain! :)

    1. I might. But not like this one. One photo per day is very challenging and I don't want to do that again.
