Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone. How did the weekend treat you? Mine left me with aches and pains. No one said it was going to be easy packing up an entire house. Maybe I need to incorporate a little fun into it.

Okay, maybe not this type.

Anyway, things are moving along. I have boxed up a lot of crap things this month and there are now empty rooms in our house, which is encouraging. There is a light at the end of this tunnel.

And at the end of this blah, blah, blah there is humour. Here it is:

Have a good one!

  1. You know, I'd never heard of that side effect of Memory Foam, but come to think of it, it's only logical! Thanks for the smiles this morning Martha! Happy packing!

  4. The memory foam cartoon is the best one, but all funny! Tip for you, if you think you are going to rent short term if you don't find something to busy. If you have a spare one, don't unpack what you don't think you'll need for the time you'll be living there. We did that when we lived in Prescott. Didn't unpack a lot of stuff (like hubby's music books, kitchen stuff we rarely used). Made moving out of that house so much easier!

    1. That's exactly what we decided, Betty. That if we'd rent, we'd only open up the necessities. The rest would stay packed and ready to go!

    1. Howdy, Wonder Woman! It's always nice to see you here. As you may have noticed, I'm falling a little behind on my blog. It's super busy these days. I hope all is well with you. I'll send you an email with some news as soon as I can!

  8. I love the dueling Mr. Potato Heads! Still smiling...

Good luck with the rest of your packing. This may sound odd, but I've always found packing strangely satisfying. Not so the unpacking, but hey, half the job is always fun :)

    1. I have to admit that I don't mind it all that much. I also like that rooms are emptying out. That's a great feeling!

  9. I love them all, Martha! I'm glad to hear that your packing is progressing. I've made so many trips to Goodwill getting rid of things. Living in a trailer the past couple of months has taught me a lot about how much we really need. I'll be attacking our home in Aurora with a new vengeance. Because a move in our future is becoming more likely. I want to live only with the things that truly bring me joy. Sending you a big hug!

    1. I feel the same way, Louise. I want to keep the things that make me happy. The rest I will offer to my girls and whatever they don't want will be donated. Hugs to you!

  14. Everybody should have to move from time to time. I've lived in the same house since 1970. It's not good.I haven't had a good chance to throw things out.
