Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, everyone! How are you all doing? Did you have a nice weekend? What's going on in your little corner of the world? We are enjoying really mild weather. It makes me very excited for spring's arrival, which isn't all that far away now. And we're hoping these wonderful temperatures continue all week to make our move easier.

Speaking of moving, is anyone available to help us this week? Hello? Hello? Anybody there?

Oh well, here's some funny stuff for you...

Have a great day!

  2. Socks and sandals... why?? And now it has to be the right "look", socks and Birkenstocks, not just the way my Uncle Ed did it with his skinny black socks, old guy slip-on sandals and white undershirt! -Jenn

  6. My work chart would have a little over 50% spent on Pinterest and a larger % spent at Lowes and Home Depot. That may be why I no longer take on projects :)

  7. Never understood socks and sandals. I gues to keep socks clean on a short trip. I dunno but it looks stupid.

  9. These are great, Martha ... I especially identify with looking for the tool I had just a moment ago (except they'd be sewing tools in my case).

If I lived closer, I would help! I imagine most of us would. Many hands make light work, as they say. Take it slow and steady, and you'll get 'er done.

  10. Too bad I don't live closer. I'd love helping you move. And I love cursive handwriting--too bad it's going out of style. But, there is a bright side, as you pointed out!

  13. To be honest, cursive is quite easy to read as long as penmanship is good. Which goes to show why it's being dropped a lot, it's extremely difficult to write in cursive.

    1. Some people have very messy cursive writing, which makes it very hard to read.

When I start a project I just know it will take at least twice as long as I thought it would.
I love cursive but for me it takes up a lot more room than printing and sometimes I can't read my own writing. It's just like a secret code. Anyway, I still love it.

    1. I like it, too. Most of my hand written stuff is in cursive. I'm just used to doing it that way.
