I finished painting the trim and doors on Saturday in our lower level and the area looks amazing. Next step is laying down flooring that we're hoping to get to later in the week. We are happily moving forward indoors but not on the outdoors. I did step outside a few weeks ago to clear some weeds and get rid of some unwanted plants, but with all this rain, the weeds have returned with a vengeance. Ah well, there's only so much I can take on at a time.
Now let's get to the funny stuff, shall we?
Have a good one!
Oh my gosh, all great ones! The baby one was adorable! Loved the family restaurant one too. Reminded me of a family we saw leaving a restaurant yesterday when we were heading in to pick up the salads we carried out to eat at home. Two daughters. First one was definitely a teen that didn't want to be with her family. You can see her attitude, LOL. Second one just still happily laughing along with her mom and dad :)
ReplyDeleteBig storm heading our way right now. I can see the dark clouds and hubby said there was a cloud burst when he got to work this morning. I would imagine we'll be experiencing one shortly.
betty
Teenagers can be so entertaining! I have stories of when I was a teen and stories when my kids were teens. It is fun to reminisce about them.
DeleteLoved your jokes today ahaha.
ReplyDeleteGlad you did!
Delete~laughing~ Baby one too funny!
ReplyDeleteHow we could use that rain! Perhaps a blogging raindance?
I can mail ours to you :)
DeleteThank you for the LOLs, as always, Martha! You two have worked hard on your new house and you must be excited (and exhausted) to be nearing the finish line.
ReplyDeleteWe truly are...excited and exhausted. Some days just exhausted :)
DeleteOh yes, women love harassment. Simply adore it. My favorite cartoon is the family style restaurant. With so many kids in the house when I was growing up, I don't think we got through many days without someone storming off and slamming a door. We already had rain this morning. The sun is shining now, but that doesn't mean we won't get our usual late afternoon thunderstorm.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Slamming doors is a rite of passage. Every teen should experience it at least once.
DeleteThat last one ROCKS!
ReplyDeleteYou bet it does!
DeleteOMG I love the last one!!!
ReplyDeleteThe best!
DeleteIt rained a lot the last few days but today is very hot and sunny.
ReplyDeleteThanks for more smiles on a Monday.
You're welcome!
DeleteDrats. I attempted to send sunshine in exchange for some of that rain. For some reason - it didn't go through. Sorry, Martha.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week in spite of the rain.
It's probably delayed at the border :) But thanks for the effort, Robyn!
DeleteIt's been ok for most of the week here. It has rained a few times, but mostly it has stayed dry. I had a Canadian woman who used to speak to me on the phone. That was last Christmas. She's gone now. We used to support each other. She's quite ill. So am I. What she's doing, I don't know. She's from Newfoundland. Everyday is much the same as the other one is and I forget what day it is. Anyway, how are you? It's good to know that you're accomplishing things at your home. I'm still reading. My dad is still bringing me books in. I've told him not to because I have plenty to read.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she's doing okay. I often wonder about blogging friends that have suddenly disappeared, concerned that something has happened. That's great about the books, although they certainly can pile up very quickly!
DeleteYup, rain. It was so unnaturally cold today I put on socks. Socks! On July 24th! Anyhoo.... cute "funnies" (my grandma used to call them the funnies in the newspaper) good choices this week! Boy, won't you be glad to be done all your painting and refurbishing. Pictures please when you are all done. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! For a couple of days this week I had to wear socks. In July. HOLYMOLY! What is that all about?
DeleteI will definitely share pictures when all this work is done!
Lots of variety today. The loading has to be very true!
ReplyDeleteVery true!
DeleteI love the cat on the laptop and the password one :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks. And you!
DeleteI bet the men in that survey work in the White House
ReplyDeleteHAHA! You always come up with funny ones, Adam :)
DeleteI don't even have teenagers but i loved the restaurant one - and yes what's with all the rain, eh??
ReplyDeleteI know, right? It's cloudy and threatening rain as I type this!
Deleteloading indeed!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteHey Martha,
ReplyDeleteAn awesome selection, eh! Keyboard may well mean peeboard! :)
As Penny notes, enter pawsword....
Have a good one and thanks for the giggles.
Gary :)
You're welcome! Hope you and Penny are both doing great.
DeleteVery funny chuckles Martha :) Oh the weeds...I don't really have them so I'm just being supportive lol...I'm sure there are tons of weeds mixed in the yard out there, but we just let them grow as long as they don't disturb the container garden. The weather has been kind of crappy lately huh? It went down to 12 overnight last night, sigh...I need a heat wave!!!
ReplyDeleteDown to 12! Can you believe this? This is cold for July. But maybe we'll get lucky and have a beautiful and extended autumn season. One can certainly hope!
DeleteWhen i translate my sentence in english it be comes like when i sit on computer or keyboard though i try to remember i that next time i will write it that when i start typing or else but my rush hours make me write such silly lines hahaha .
ReplyDeletei am so glad that you are moving further wonderfully in your painting and hope soon it will be done and you will start decorating your house my friend!
Hope your outdoor will soon turn into an enchanting garden as you sound so ambitious about it
I am really looking forward to decorating our home when it's all finished. We still have so many lovely things in boxes that will one day find a permanent spot. I especially can't wait to get some family photos up, especially of my girls! And next spring will be very exciting when we work on our garden. Can't wait!
DeleteThe "family style restaurant" gag is a funny one. I remember when Jon was a spoilt brat.
ReplyDeleteI think every parent can relate to that one! haha
