Yesterday evening we went for a nice long walk. Do you enjoy walking? If the weather is just right, the most amazing man in the world and I can walk for a very long time. And have some really interesting conversations along the way. Sometimes, by the time we get back home, we've come up with solutions for many of the world's problems. *snort*
Now let's get to the funny stuff!

I am that friend! |
Have a good one!
The bear with the plunger! lol
ReplyDeleteI know! LOL
Deletehahahahahahah!!!!! The rhino!!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got a chuckle out of it, Linda!
DeleteDaisy is certainly not that friend, on walks to Atlanta she was like "can't you call an Uber?" even though they weren't long walks at all. One them was a walk to the subway...
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people like that. Not everyone enjoys walking.
DeleteThe bears about to shit in the woods cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteAnd in answer to your question about walking, I'm not a great fan of it. :D
The one with the bears is one of the best this week. Especially the bear with the plunger!
DeleteThanks for the laughs Martha hapoy Monday!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome!
DeleteHey Martha, how are you? My Canadian friend posted on a message board recently why do the English hate to be called British? Well, we don't. You Canadians just loved to be called Americans, don't you? Or it's like you tell your husband if he'll buy you some fruit from the greengrocer's. An apple is fruit, so are oranges, grapes and bananas. What exactly do you want? It's the same story with being English. You can call usBritish if you want to BUT call us English and you've got a friend for life.
ReplyDeleteI will gladly call you English if you promise not to call me American! I like to be called Canadian and nothing more. Call me Canadian and you've got a friend for life. LOL
DeletePS - loved = love and tell = ask.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteYou have another fine collection of cartoons. I especially liked the Tale of Two Cities. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed!
DeleteYou are a Canadian; therefore, we are friends for life. I love to walk with the dogs, but it's much too hot to go out now. When October rolls around, the dogs and I will walk again. We will talk and solve the world's problems, too. The Charles Dickens cartoon is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I can only imagine how hot it gets down there. You are brave, Janie. I'm not sure I could survive that type of heat regularly. But I manage to survive our winters here, so maybe I could :)
DeleteAsparagus tips, now I will chuckle every single time I hear that. Yep, every single time!
ReplyDeleteAnd they are good tips, too :)
DeleteHa, ha "no dumping!" :)
ReplyDeleteI know! LOL
DeleteLove the Easter Island "discovery" but the rhino artist totally cracked me up!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's hilarious!
DeleteI notice daylight getting less as I ride bike in the evening. I still have lots of time, but the sun is closer to sunset each night.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is still lots of time, thankfully!
DeleteThose were fun. I like the asparagus tips. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed!
DeleteIf only the world would listen to the great solutions to its problems that we can so readily come up with! LOL Loved the collection of C&Cs! Loved the Charles Dickens funny. I read "A Tale of Two Cities" in grade seven. I really should read it again! Have a great Tuesday, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWe do come up with some great solutions, don't we? If only someone would listen to us :)
DeleteOkay, I may be a bit slow, but I'm trying to figure out the elephant painting one, LOL. So cute with the other ones. Yes, I have noticed it being darker in the morning when we get up and getting darker in the evenings. It does seem to take a big dip in light once August rolls around.
ReplyDeletebetty
The rhino has added his horn into the photo because he can't see beyond it!
DeleteGlad you guys had nice walk Martha!
ReplyDeleteI love walking and in past when we had only one child had some unbeatable walks around Islamabad.
I bet the solutions you came up with are wonderful
We really enjoy walking. We haven't done as much of it this year because of all the rain but maybe we'll get more in during the autumn season!
DeleteNice walk and A Tale of Two Cities...perfect!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week!
DeleteLove the rhino one! I don't go for walks mainly because if I want to go any distance, I'd be out walking on a country road or a busy county road with too many cars. I'd love to live somewhere with walking trails, but I know my husband would not partake. Are there trails where you live now, or are you just walking the neighbourhood? -Jenn
ReplyDeleteWe mostly walk the neighbourhood but there are many trails around. We've just been too preoccupied with house stuff to really get out and explore. Next year it'll be completely different. We'll be done with the house and we'll start to explore our city and all the surrounding areas.
DeleteYes, we all have THAT friend.
ReplyDeleteI loved the last one, especially.
Happy week, Martha.
Happy week, Robyn!
DeleteLol...great funnies, I love the rhino. I'm a big walker actually, and I'm that person who says "we can walk there". Walking and hiking is my exercise. In short, after I burned out, I was on meds for 7 years that destroyed my metabolism. I gained nearly 100 pounds during that time. Over 4 years (when I quit the meds), all I did was walk and watch what I ate and off came 97 pounds. That's when I developed my love for hiking in the mountains. I don't feel right if I don't walk every day. Winters are challenging though! I buy those ice cleats for my boots to help out! And yes, I've noticed the daylight fading sooner...I'm not ready for that yet, we've had such a lousy summer haven't we?
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing, Rain! Walking is a great form of exercise and one that really makes a difference in our health. I'm glad it worked wonders for you.
DeleteWe did indeed have a lousy summer. Spring, too. And I think that's what bugs me the most about losing daylight. We didn't get to enjoy much of a warm season and winter will be here before we know it :(
Hi Martha,
ReplyDeleteI love a nice walk and have a pleasant conversation with the dog.
Good laughs and does a bear dump in the woods, eh...
Gary
Dogs make great walking companions and they have important things to say! Nice to see you here, Gary. I hope you're doing well and enjoying a nice week.
DeleteThe one about all having a friend who says we can walk there made me smile--especially considering I have some family members who can just run 20 miles... :D
ReplyDeleteYour family is amazing with all that running! I definitely can't do that. But I can walk great distances. That should count for something! :)
DeleteWhat a super selection of Chuckles ...
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to enjoy a walk, but quite scary to think the nights are already drawing in!
Hope your week is going well.
All the best Jan
Thanks, Jan! It's almost the weekend again :)
DeleteLOL to that last one!! All a matter of perspective!!
ReplyDeleteIt is, Jim!

Walking clear the mind and helps us come up with ideas to solve the world's problems; one step at a time :) It's starting to cool off in the evenings here and it's wonderful. Great walking weather!
