Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone. How are you all doing? How was your weekend? What's new? What's going on? Go ahead and share whatever you'd like. I enjoy hearing from you.

Today is Labour Day, so a lot of people are enjoying an extra day off. But it's too bad it's rainy one. I'm sure a little sunshine would have been welcome. Since just about every place is closed, the most amazing man in the world and I are going to stay home and get some work done around here. What's your day going to be like?

Enough of the blah, blah, blah. Here are a few images to get you laughing.

Have a good one!

  2. Can you please send some of that rain our way? I swear half our state's on fire right now, with more hot and dry weather predicted....

Another great collection of funnies, and I needed a laugh today.

  5. Those are great, lol at the Captain's Log hee hee...we're having a rainy Labour Day too, but it's fine by me when it rains on long weekends...less noise outside from the weekenders. I'm taking it easy today, cheese-sitting, baking, maybe painting...AND planning Thanksgiving dinner!!! :)

    1. Sounds like a great day to me! And Thanksgiving isn't all that far away, so planning for it makes sense.

  6. I'm working today. *sigh*

    Oh, well.

The clowns remind me of the Mary Tyler Moore episode where she got es to the funeral for Chuckles the Clown. Did you ever see that one?

  7. We had a quiet weekend. I need a book I can enjoy. I'll let you know if I find one. I was watching YouTube over the weekend and saw a story of Charlie Chaplin versus Groucho Marx at tennis. They were big stars back then. It was about 100 years ago when time stood still and seemed to last forever. Time doesn't last forever though. It fades away before you know it and very soon your time is up. Make the most of what time you have left. As Groucho once said - he shot an elephant in his pyjamas . How the elephant got in his pyjamas he doesn't know. That's Groucho for you.

    1. Funnily enough, I dream about you last night.. You were a fighter pilot in the Canadian Air Force and I flew the same in the RAF. We flew missions over Hinckley. It was a strange dream, especially when I stopped for lunch.

    2. That is quite a dream! Me, a pilot in the Canadian Air Force? Now there's a unique dream for you! Perhaps in a past life... Who knows?

Groucho Marx has said some hilarious things!

how nice that you are celebrating "labor Day" yet sad that you felt annoying with rain for which we always wait .
I wish i can send you some sun and take off the grey cover of clouds from your sky and bring it here.
Glad that you are having good time together and doing something positive and productive which is satisfactory

  17. Loved the bar code scanner cartoon. It was beautiful here and Labor Day was our 46th wedding anniversary so we had a super wonderful day. We got married on Labor Day weekend thinking people would have an extra day to celebrate or sober up depending on the person.

  21. Haha! Loved the zebra/barcode one!!! I spent my Labor Day packing, because the next day we flew to beautiful Victoria! Love this city! You had rain, but it was forest fire smoky here. Now the smoke has cleared, and the weather is gorgeous!
