Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone. I hope you all had a nice weekend. We're having heat wave weather the past few days. It'll continue until about Wednesday and then the temperature will drop to more reasonable levels for this time of year. What's it like where you are?

Yesterday we met up for brunch in the small city of Vaudreuil with my daughter and her boyfriend. It was wonderful to see them both and a reminder once again that moving closer was the best decision.

What was your weekend like? Share in the comments below. Now let's laugh a little...

Wishing you all an awesome day ahead!

  4. That's one reason why I have decided against having a cat, cats almost give you no control over them. Dogs you might have to drag to a bath or the vet, but they won't bite or scratch you for it without hesitation.

    1. True, Adam. I love dogs but I don't think I want all the responsibility that comes with them. Cats are much less maintenance and more independent.

  10. Oh I couldn't get the first one and when I did I felt pretty dumb. It was bitterly cold on Saturday and nice on Sunday. My wife had her parka, mitts and winter cap on as we birded for 2 hours.

  11. I like "stop looking at those phones while you're at the table"--it's extra funny because it was so rare to have more than one telephone in 1965. During the early '60s, we lived on the same street as some people who had two phones. They were the only people we know who were privileged enough to have more than one phone. The second one was in the bathroom, on the back of the toilet--and it was not a black phone. I think it was yellow. It was the first phone I'd ever seen that was . . . the color of urine. I've never figured out why they had a phone in the bathroom. My weekend was pretty much the same as my week. No more hurricanes in my area, but I'm praying for the people of Puerto Rico.

    Love,
    Janie

  12. Loved the instrument one :) Sounded like fun to get together with your daughter and her boyfriend :) We had unseasonably cool temps this past few days. In the lows 80s! Very pleasant.

  13. Hey Martha,

    How's it goin', eh?

That first one was instrumental in me thinking about the fact I've become a "sex cymbal"!

And yep, moving closer was a great decision for you.

Thanks for the laughs and here's to an awesome week ahead.

  19. Crazy here. Starting the week, I was sweatin' balls working on the room. Today, now Friday, we just kicked the heat on to see if it works but also, it's a chilly morning. Love it though. So crispy-autumn. Love that you get to see your family. Happy Weekend and boogie boogie.

And a boogie boogie weekend to you, Wonder Woman!
