Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging friends. And Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canucks. I hope everyone is doing well. Today will be a quiet day for us. The stores are closed and the weather is sucky. A perfect day to kick back and relax.

Friday we spent the day in Ottawa with younger daughter, Alex, and her boyfriend, Ian. It was great to see them and hear about their recent trip to Portugal. We went to lunch at The Green Door where you'll find vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food that is so delicious, you don't know what to choose. For coffee and dessert we headed over to a place called Little Jo Berry's where you'll find the most amazing sweets and treats, and a wonderful atmosphere to go with it. These young people know the best places in Ottawa. My daughter will be writing about them in her new blog, The Vegan Travel Bug. Drop by and say hello.

Now let's laugh a little, shall we?

Have a great day!

    1. Do squirrels cause more destruction to your garden? That would do it!

Going really well. More videos, doughnuts
and a shit ton of work ahead of me but at
least, it's fun work. We enjoy Thanksgiving
early (as you know). And have been enjoying
lots and lots of Thanksgiving foods. So fun.

  20. I've heard of thanksgiving but thought it was an American thing.. We don't have it here but I have a feeling that that will change. People are too keen to 'Americanise' us. Why? We're English. Even the European Union try to stop us leaving Europe. Catalonia now want independence from Spain. Good for them Whether they'll get it or not is another matter. I hope they do though. I'm supposed to have gone to court last week to get my rights back. They haven't notified me which goes to show how controlling they are. I only found out through my dad because they wrote to him. I don't expect to have my rights back anytime soon, if at all. That's how you get treated when you're disabled. Like a 5- year-old kid.

    1. Yup, we have Thanksgiving here in October. The US celebrates in November.

I didn't know that about Catalonia. That's quite interesting. I should look it up.
