The Handsy Man

I ran across the video below yesterday and shared it on my Facebook page. Now I'm sharing it with all of you.

In the words of Tracee Ellis Ross who is featured in the video: “Treating another human with respect isn’t complicated, but it seems a bit confusing for a lot of men out there,” Ross said. “So I wrote a book.”

This video is hilarious, but it also conveys a very important message. Take a moment to watch it. You'll be glad you did. And after you're done, go here for a post by Natalie related to this topic. It's upsetting to read, so you can just imagine how she felt that day. Go show her some love and support. Thank you, Natalie, for courageously sharing your own #metoo experience.

  2. It is a sad state we have learned out of hollywood and honestly the rest of every other industry too. "You had me at no" should not be a phrase.

    1. Thanks for visiting her, Janie. Her story upset me. She shouldn't need to understand her perpetrator. He was totally TOTALLY out of line.

    1. You're absolutely right, Christine. The fact that people don't understand such simplicity is disturbing.

  7. Very good video. Boys and men are also victims of these predators. I was fortunate as a boy to have narrowly escaped a couple of situations in which I used my judgement (which I have no clue where it came from) to put a stop to it then and there. A couple of friends of mine were not as fortunate as I.

  8. This is spot-on! I put a message to your friend thanking her for sharing what she did. That is even more important. I've also known men who were abused. No-one should endure this.
