We had a quiet weekend. Well, that's not exactly true. A young cat in the house adds a certain level of energy. And craziness. But that's okay. We can take it. Other than feline insanity, it was peaceful. We got out a little bit but mostly stayed indoors. Sometimes you just don't feel like going anywhere or doing anything.
Shall we get to the funny stuff. Let's do it.
A super day to all!
We are both getting over jungle rot (me, entering week 3 but definitely on the mend) (him only 1 week)...so we laid low this past weekend.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better!
DeleteThanks for the laughs Martha! We went out to brunch with some friends, it was fun.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound like fun!
DeleteI worked and then went home and worked on my cross-stitch. :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a relaxing time.
DeleteI laughed out loud (truly) at the sheep and cow! It's hilarious! Love the cat in the cone, too. Darn mice :)
ReplyDeleteWe caught up on work and sleep on the weekend. And I worked on my mom's birthday gift, a booklet kind of thing to keep track of other peoples' birthdays and to hold cards. She is having trouble remembering birthdays so I thought this might help.
Having a kitten around is so different from an adult cat. Enjoy, because it passes so quickly!
Aw, what a lovely gift for your mom! Such a great idea. I bet she'll enjoy that.
DeleteThe kitten has really livened up our home. We'd forgotten how much energy they bring with them. The good thing is that it's gotten Mocha out of a rut, too. She has moments where she's a lot more lively than she has been for quite some time.
Ha, ha, ha!! Thanks for the funnies, I really needed a laugh today!
ReplyDeleteAlways happy to do it!
Delete18th floor, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI know! That one has me laughing out loud!
DeleteNice giggles.
ReplyDeleteDinner, concert, good company. A great weekend.
Sounds like a great time!
DeleteYou do great to find the most cute-hilarious comics for us. Thanks for starting my week with laughter.
ReplyDeleteBe well, Martha.
Always a pleasure, Robyn!
DeleteGreat way to start the week with a smile.
ReplyDeleteStarting the week off with a smile is always the best!
DeleteThat scarf cartoon makes me laugh...I wish I could print it out and give it with the crochet scarves that I give to folks!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they'd get a good laugh out of that!
DeleteFunny funnies!!! Enjoy your kitty crazies! :) Our Oscar is going on three this year and he's still insane, which makes for a lot of entertainment! :) This weekend was really about hibernation around here and doing some fun hobbies! :)
ReplyDeleteShe is a handful! LOL But it's kind of fun. It had gotten too sad around here with Nacho's passing and too quiet. Her insanity has brought in some joy :)
DeleteOscar sounds like fun. When cats get into their craziness mode you can't help but laugh!
Thanks for the laughs, Martha! I always enjoy them! It was a lazy weekend for us, especially since we had a snowstorm all day Sunday. Dinner with friends on Friday evening, lots of reading and jigsaw puzzle time on Saturday, more of the same on Sunday. Have a great week! Enjoy the kitty; they're only kitties for a little while!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome. It sounds like you had a lovely weekend, Louise.
DeleteThese are fun, especially the bee hive one :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed them!
Deletethese are all so funny - love them all. After being gone last week i had a real down low mellow weekend. We just sat at home catching up on the internet, and while my husband cooked me wonderful food I sat around and inhaled the fragrances knowing that as soon as he called me Heaven would be served on a plate. damn...that man can cook - ..and lucky me - so can my sister. I have had such great meals. I'm all about food..........obviously.....Have a great week ahead with that kitty.
ReplyDeleteOh you are so lucky, Sandy! My husband does not cook. Cannot stand cooking. He'll take me out for dinner, which is great, but being served a meal is especially wonderful!
DeleteThe third cartoon is exactly me!
ReplyDeleteYou are a good husband!
DeleteIt's because Carl isn't into necrophilia
ReplyDeleteHAHA! For sure :)
DeleteA GRAND SLAM!! All are funny! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I'm glad you enjoyed, Jim. I have to keep you all smiling!
DeleteHey Martha,
ReplyDeleteHow's it goin', eh?
I think I may well have talked to the cat and the call centre! Thanks for sharing these jokes.
Gary :)
LOL! I think most of us have had to talk to 'a cat' at a call centre at some point in our lives :)
DeleteHope you're having a great week!
Great selection here for us Martha, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe weekend was good!
Can you believe it's Wednesday tomorrow!!!
The days sure go by so quickly.
All the best Jan
Time goes by very quickly, Jan! We should enjoy every moment.
Deletethanks for the smiles dear Martha!
ReplyDeletei am glad that you are having new cat in your house and she is making you feel better

She has brought a lot of joy into our home and we all needed that! I can't wait till spring. I'm counting the days!
