Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, bloggers! How are you all doing? What did you do over the weekend? What's going on with you? What's keeping you busy these days? How are you feeling? Inquiring minds want to know!

We had some crappy weather, which included some freezing rain, but despite that we decided to go out for dinner last night. The roads weren't that bad but we chose a place that wasn't too far from home in case it got worse. We braved the elements because we were celebrating the birthday of yours truly. That's right, I'm one year older and maybe a little wiser. Or not. Who's to say? I am now 53 going on 16. Why grow up? It's not as much fun being an adult!

But you know what is fun? Cartoons. Here are some that will make you giggle. Enjoy!

Happy Monday to all!

  1. I’ve been reading all weekend and using the Internet. It’s the only fun I get. Every day seems like the one before it. I’m not complaining though. People have lies to live and good luck to them. The same people come every week and I struggle to see why. If they stopped coming I would understand. I wouln’t mind. All i’m really thinking about is can I keep this sugar-free diet going? Tomorrow is my 22nd day.

    1. Day 22! That is pretty amazing, Terry. Sugar is really hard to give up, so that's something to be proud of!

  3. 54.....still feel like I need my Mom and been known to do a cartwheel or two. It's ok though.....I treat others well and usually clean my room....so a little immaturity can't be all bad.

    Happy, happy day Martha!

The Glasbergen cartoon hits home! It's so weird how people turn into food police! Gave me a good laugh and I shared it!

I especially liked the detail in the Bizarro comic - the pictures on the wall and the pie under the bedside table!! lol

  8. Happy Monday! Thank you for the funnies. I think that the books falling on the hubby could actually happen at my house. I think it is good to be young at heart no matter what our age happens to be. Have a nice week! XO

  16. happy birthday to you....you live in a z.... okay i get carried away with snippets of songs from the old days of raising my punks. But that aaside, hope your day was happy!! or is happy...

You always pick the best cartoons. I think my favorite this week is what is in a box of ....i like the one that says mind your own business.

no snow here but other areas got snow with this snow that was talked about for five days and basically decided to completely ignore our area, thank God. We did get rain though. Three of my boys are coming up on Thursday - well two for sure...one is from Montana, one from Bend and they both happen to be in town at the same time and then one from this area. The one from Washington won't be here. So i'm looking forward to mothering them again like I always did - in other words i'll tell them to go play and give me a moment's peace. So the rest of my week will be somewhat busy.

  17. Happy birthday dearest Martha!!!

either i think age has nothing to do with physical growth by the time but it is the way you FEEL right now
if you feel sixteen then you are just ready to enjoy your first flight on the sky of enthusiasm ,so have fun and may you stay sixteen forever :)

this is great that inspite of bad weather you were able to enjoy outing and dinner to celebrate this special day my friend!
