Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, my friends. How was your weekend? How are you all doing? What's new in your part of the world? I'm still not in the mood to blog, so I haven't been. But that's okay. For now I'm enjoying visiting your sites and everything you have to share. Eventually I'll create some posts with before and after photos to show you the work we did on our home last year. And I'll even share some drawings and thoughts and opinions. And, of course, later this month I'll answer the questions you recently asked. So it's not like I have nothing to write about. I do. I'm just not motivated to do it. At some point I will be.

For now, I don't mind if I post just once a week to keep this blog alive and make you smile with some funny stuff. And speaking of which, here is this week's silliness...

Have a great day!

  1. That's one reason I'm glad I don't have a cat, dogs are hard enough to medicate and they generally will trust and let you do most things. Cats barely trust some people to hold them

    1. Very true about the cats. On the other hand, I can go away for an entire weekend, leave enough water and food for the cats, and not have to worry. Their independent nature is one reason I always choose them instead of a dog. With a dog, it's like having a young child. A lot of responsibility!

  3. LOL!!! Love these! I use my Gazelle (exercise equipment) to hang clothes that come out of the dryer damp :) I do have a $15 clothes rack; why do I not use that?? My psyche needs delving into! ha ha

Love the Nigerian email scheme - I think everybody that's ever had an email account can fully relate to that one.

I love your funnies - there is such a variety and they are always good. As they say, laughter is the best medicine. You are keeping us all healthy!

    1. And so...I have a purpose in life. Keeping you all healthy with laughter :) That one about the email had me laughing out loud. One of my google emails gets flooded with this stuff. I don't know how my email got out like that but it may be time to ditch it and get another.

  4. they're all funny but that Nigerian man cracks me up!!!! i get it about not being in the mood to blog - i go through it regularly. I'm sitting with tons of photos from trips and when I start to look at them and pick which ones to post I get overwhelmed and shut down the computer, lol.

    1. I'm the same way, Sandy! LOL I have so many things to share, but the idea of sorting through it and creating blog posts is totally overwhelming :) Maybe after winter goes away I'll be more energized and get back into it.

  6. That one about the pharmacist - I'm not tall enough to stand in line, even. They never see me below the counter. Pretty funny.
I'm glad that you're still delivering chuckles and chortles, even though you aren't in the mood. May brighter days bring you brighter spirits very soon.

    1. Thanks, Robyn. I think last year's moving and all the renovations around here burned me out. I needed a break. Plus, winter is a season I really am not at my best. Hopefully when spring weather kicks in, my energy will rise back up!

I get not blogging. Even though blogging is what I think of as home, I'm only now getting back to it.

    1. Sometimes we need a break. Or a change. Or both. It'll be nice to see you back in blogging land but I am connected to your through Instagram and YouTube and that is really cool!

    2. I had to stop for a bit because I was working very, very long hours.
But now that I dropped one day on youtube and implemented deadlines,
I'm able to be on Blogger again. Tuesdays with an optional FQ.

In other news, it's cold here. It was looking like spring but not anymore.
Also, got a new piece of furniture for Tim's bathroom. Goes over the crapper.
Holds stuff. 50 smackers at Aldi.

That's about all here. Well, that and work. How goes you?

  16. Hi Martha, things are going the same way as they normally do. Which means that every day is the same as the day before it. I saw my wife today, which was quite nice. I imagine that things will be very different in the future. The thing is, we really can’t tell what the future will be like. We haven’t a scooby doo, (clue) to be honest. All I know is that it’ll be very different to what has gone before. It has to be for me. I face a very unknown future and I know that. I saw a YouTube film last night about a young kid who died fo forty minutes. He said that he saw a huge world war was going to happen. He didn’t say more much than that. He was just 13 when he died. He was probably the life and soul of the party.

    1. You are right, Terry. We never can tell what the future has in store. It's best to just take it one day at a time. That is fascinating about that young kid. I'm going to have to look that up because I'm really curious now!

  17. Hello Martha, sometimes it is good to have a little break.
I had a small one with our recent move, but it is nice to be back.

We had a lovely weekend as it was Mother's Day here in the UK so I received some lovely cards and gifts.

The days and weeks sometimes go much too quickly but life is good and I try to make the best of every moment.

It would be so nice to come round for a cuppa or glass of wine ...

    My good wishes

    All the best Jan
