Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Did you have fun? Was the weather nice? Did you celebrate Easter? For those working, are you enjoying an extra day off today? Share whatever you'd like in the comments below. I enjoy hearing from you!

Our weekend was quiet. We don't celebrate Easter this year at the same time as many of you because we are Orthodox Christians. And this group does not do Easter observations and celebrations until after Passover, so this is actually our holy week. Regardless, it's all the same to me. I'm not a religious person, so I enjoy any and all festivities going on around me. And whatever I practice with loved ones has more to do with tradition and togetherness than anything else.

Okay, that's enough of the boring talk. Let's get to the funny stuff so we can laugh it up!

Have a good one!

    1. Sometimes it's like that. We still get together but I don't do all the things I used to in the past.

  4. Ha ha ha...great funnies...I wondered what the dogs were thinking about as they contemplated where to poop lol :) We had some chocolate, watched a really bad action movie...had that discussion with S&P's owner (I emailed you)...and then had some nice appetizers for dinner. Promptly passed out at 10pm. Jack slept through the night and is bouncy and energetic now! :)) The village is very quiet! I'm so happy about that!! :)

    1. You must be really happy with it being quiet! Eventually those noisy ones go away, don't they? Then bliss...LOL

That is great about Jack! Sweet little furry ball of joy :)

  8. These are all so good, Martha! Thanks for the laughs! (And I'm still chuckling at the real fish in with the goldfish crackers in the Bizarro comic)

We had family yesterday for supper, and somehow the cleaning and cooking preparations have left me so sore in the hips and back that I can hardly walk . . . it's a bit scary not to be able to do regular stuff without having so much pain!

    1. That is wonderful, Lisa. We always refer to it as Holy Week. It is the most important Christian holiday of the year and our celebrations/observations last all week long.

  12. Hi Martha, one of the reidents here has died which is a bit of a shock to the system. She was younger than me and showed no signs that she was ill. It just happened. She celebrated her birthday last week. It’s a big loss. Other tan that, i’ve Had aquiet time. Eating vegetarian has been great because the meals have been so good. They’re all made for me. It’s a lot easier.

    1. Oh, that is awful! I can just imagine how shocking that is, especially with someone so young. How sad for her loved ones.

Vegetarian meals can be wonderfully delicious. My daughter is a vegan and I've learned to make some dishes for her that we all love! I'm glad you are enjoying your veggie meals.
