Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We spent yesterday in Montreal at my brother and sister-in-law's place. They had invited us for lunch to celebrate Easter. My daughters were there with their boyfriends, too, so it was a complete family gathering. The older daughter's boyfriend (they live in Montreal) has been to multiple holiday gatherings over the years but it was the first time the younger daughter's boyfriend (they live in Ottawa) joined us. It was a wonderful feeling having everyone together and I look forward to the next time. The girls are doing wonderfully and I'm really proud of both of them.

After our get-together, the most amazing man in the world and I headed downtown to drop into the Metaphysical and Spiritual Show that was going on this weekend in Montreal. There were dozens of exhibitors offering all kinds of interesting products and services. It was really busy and we didn't stick around longer than necessary because sometimes we're just not in the mood for crowds.  I did manage to find a few beautiful gemstones to add to my collection.

And that's all I have to blab about. Share some news about your weekend below.

Now it's time to laugh!

Wishing you all a great week ahead!

  5. Great funnies...and how true is that mass-marketing one??? Sad but funny! :) I love the Inconvenience Store...reminds me of so many around here lol...I'm glad you had a nice weekend Martha, with all the fam! :) I hated bringing boyfriends "home" because they were always made to feel so uncomfortable, I'm glad your family makes everyone feel welcome. :) That's important to the gals! :) I heard about that show, but yes, the crowds...not a fan of the crowds!

    1. No one has ever been made to feel uncomfortable in our family. We're pretty good with that. And it's just so wonderful introducing new members into the group. This is a terrific thing for my girls now that they're adults and in relationships. They are both great guys and the girls look very happy. That's what's most important.

I was tired on Sunday, so the crowds were a little harder to handle than usual. I'm usually good with them when I'm excited about an event I've been looking forward to attending, especially something like this. I can tune them out most days. But Sunday was busy and my energy had been zapped.

  7. LOL!! All so funny! Thanks, Martha :)

We entertained a spring snowstorm yesterday - but it'll be gone quickly, this time of year :) Your weekend sounds really good. I love having the whole extended family together (there aren't that many of us) but it hasn't happened in a long time. Someone always has work or some other commitment.

    1. It is not easy getting everyone together. There aren't that many of us either but we all have our own lives and schedules getting in the way!

We've had spurts of snow on and off for the past few days. It really doesn't last long, and it melts quickly, but it's annoying! It's April!!!
