We all went for coffee while there, and my daughter and her boyfriend said the trip to southeast Asia was amazing. They'd just returned home that day and they were both tired, so we kept the visit short. We'll visit on another day and see some of their photos. In the meantime, I'm sure my daughter will share information and images on her blog and on her Instagram account.
I miss having Obi here with us but I'm happy she's back with her mama. At least I have some nice photos from her stay with us, like this one:
Other than that, outdoor chores have kept us busy. But that won't be going on today since it's raining outside. What have you been up to?
While you think about that, I'll share this funny stuff with you.
Have a good one!
Has it been a month already with the cat being at your place and your daughter/boyfriend gone? Wow, that time went by so fast! Glad that Obi enjoyed her visit but as we all are that she was glad to be home.
ReplyDeleteLOL with the cartoons this week; I loved grilled chicken!
Warming up here in Phoenix, but that means the pool is warming up too so that's where we spent some of yesterday :)
betty
It's amazing, isn't it, how quickly the month went by! I can't believe my daughter and her boyfriend are done with their trip, and that Obi is back home.
DeleteSounds lovely with the pool! I hope you get to enjoy it a lot.
The chicken one!!!! That is totally me in an argument. I should have been an attorney and maybe life would have been easier on those around me. I could work out my pent up "need to know everything" at work and leave my loved ones in peace.
ReplyDeleteLOL In the next life, Linda :)
DeleteWhenever I read about wines or wine tastings (which I try to avoid but sometimes it happens - lol) I feel like Ned! ha ha
ReplyDeleteLove grilled chicken and happy walk and, well, all of these, really :) Thanks for the smiles.
HAHA! I can totally relate to Ned. I don't know a thing about wine. I just know whether I like it or not. And if it's not too expensive, I like it :)
DeleteGoing to keep 'happy walk' in my head, just need a melody to tie it to!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find one, Toni! :)
DeleteP. S. Obi sounds like a very laid back kitty; she is a beauty, too.
ReplyDeleteShe really is. And I miss her!
DeleteI LOVE Ned Thompson lol...it's so true when you go for a wine tasting that's free, people jazz it up so much lol! Grilled chicken lol...Oh my gosh is Alex back ALREADY??? Has it been one month ALREADY???? Crazy how time flies. I'm sure she and her bf had a blast, those photos she posts on IG are incredible. I'm sure you'll miss Obi :)
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time believing that trip has come and gone. I bet it's even more surreal for them! I do miss Obi but I'm glad she's back with her mama. She was pampered her but she must have been shocked by the move, as well. No place like home :)
DeleteCats are so adaptable. It’s why I love them so much.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday to you too!
They are the best! Each one such a character.
DeleteHa. I've tended to find that I like the free or low quality wine the best. I choose the single guy with big belly and lack of taste on the right. (Hope he'll settle for me.)
ReplyDeleteHappy new week, Martha.
Same with me, Robyn. Some of the best wine I've ever had has been very affordable!
DeleteLove the last cartoon!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed!
DeleteGlad Alex made it home safely and thanks for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine! I'm very happy about that :)
DeleteThat's a good collection today, Martha! Obi looks like such a sweet cat. And how easy going, fitting in well with you, and then fine to return home again. You must be happy to have your daughter back. I'll bet they're tired - sometimes you need a vacation when you return from a vacation! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThey were very tired when we went to see them. It is a very long trip and I can just imagine how much it takes out of you. But they had a wonderful time and enjoyed some amazing experiences. And I do miss Obi but I'm glad she's back home. As much as she was pampered here, it was shocking to be yanked out of her house.
DeleteThat is a fabulous photograph of Obi.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that your daughter is safely back home ... what a fabulous experience.
Lovely selection of chuckles here Martha, well done and thank you.
Hope your week goes well.
All the best Jan
Thank you, Jan! I'm very happy that she's back home safe and sound. That's the most important thing!
DeletePretty kitty.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
She is. And very sweet!
DeleteHahahahahaha, Toastradamus! Am stealing for my next pun post!
ReplyDeleteI know! Don't you just love it? Steal away, girl :)
DeleteObi is a cutie. I am sure she is happy to be home even though she had fun with Grandma.
ReplyDeleteShe is very happy to be home! But I do miss her...
DeleteThe worm cartoon and the change is hilarious. My bird group found 27 species in 2 hours on sat. morning.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is awesome :)
DeleteHi Martha...
ReplyDeleteYour daughters blog is beautiful! What does she do for a living?
She is Vegan? My son is too....can be rather annoying at times...just sayin’....😬
Enjoy your week...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
She's going to be starting her final year in university and she's been working at a radio station. And she plays in a band. She'll all over the map! LOL
DeleteShe's actually been great with the vegan stuff. I find that some of the non-vegans we know have been more annoying towards her.
Her diet has encouraged me to learn how to cook in different ways. It's a little challenging at times but the food is pretty amazing!
Good for your son! It's not easy being a vegan and trying to make a difference.
Reminds me of my mother telling me of her cat after us getting back from DC. I saw him as soon as we came through the door. He acted normal to me. But she said after I left, he freaked out a little and bit her. Guess he was mad?
ReplyDeleteCould be. Could also be that he was smelling scents on her that were unfamiliar and it stressed him out. That happens with cats.
DeleteIt would have been nice to be with everyone. Your daughters blog looks amazing!Cute little cat!
ReplyDeleteIt's always wonderful to see the kids. And my daughter's cat is a real sweetie. I'm going to miss having her here with us.
DeleteObi seems to be a contented cat no matter where he is. Has good parents I guess.
ReplyDeleteWe too are in the garden a lot lately doing things that needed to be done for a couple of years. Feels good to get stuff done finally.
Thanks for sending us the rain, Martha. We needed it.
I bet your place is looking better already, Jim! I have found that even a little work in the garden makes a difference. We are just getting started, so we have a long way to go. The property is pretty empty and we're starting from scratch. It's a lot of work but at least we'll make it our own! We've still got plenty of rain if you want me to send you more :)
DeleteThe grilled chicken! Ha! I am still clucking over that one!
ReplyDeleteLOL Oh Kay, you are a silly one :)
DeleteHAHAHAH "CRAPPY AND FREE'" - That's my kind of wine.. Mine isn't crappy but it's cheap enough to be almost free - It's a Moscato and it's really good. love the comics and i'll have to check out your daughter's blog soon.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! My kind of wine is cheap, too! LOL
