This is so true! I was at the store today and saw that it was going to close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and then reopen the day after Christmas at 6 a.m. I was thinking such a short time to be closed with all the rush before and all the rush after. We need to slow down more I do believe!
Love most the part about slowing down, though I don't think people do. The rush to shop, rush to wrap, rush to clean, bake, cook, and send out cards. They get stressed. We do less each year and are finding it far more enjoyable. Less decorating, less sending cards, and certainly less shopping which equates to less wrapping.
I know what you mean, Sandy. I ditched a lot of things this year. It got to be so tiring leading up to the holidays that you can't even enjoy yourself anymore. Now I've created a scheduled that keeps me busy without stressing me, and I find I am much more productive!
Same to you, Martha! What a perfect meme!
