Chuckles and Chortles
Happy new week, blogging friends! How is everyone doing? What have you been up to? I've been running around like a lunatic, getting ready for the holidays. And I've been cleaning the house in the past week, as well. My family will be coming over on Thursday instead of Christmas day because that's the only day when everyone is available. We did the same thing last year.
In addition to taking care of the home, I've been taking care of the most amazing man in the world. He got hit with a nasty cold last week, most likely the flu, that knocked him out. He's on the mend now. Yesterday evening he felt good enough to finally go out and get some air. But only for a little while. He's hardly eaten anything for days, so he's still weak. But at least that nasty cold is over and he's up and about again more often than not. Any of you dealing with a cold?
Okay, now let's get to the funny stuff, shall we? Hope they tickle your funny bone! Have an awesome Monday.

Happy new week, blogging friends. How is everyone? What have you been up to? The holidays are rolling in quickly and December is moving out just as fast. Before you know it it'll be 2020! That has a nice ring to it.
I wanted to share this image with you:
This is the house my mother grew up and lived in up until the time she left for Canada in 1957 in her early 20s. It's in a small town in Greece that I visited only once when I was seven. My brother went back in his older years, which was very exciting. I don't know if I'll ever do that but I can explore the area without ever setting foot there - with Google maps! My brother sent me the link and I toured the town she grew up in. You just have to love all these amazing things available through modern technology.
Anyhow, that's my interesting story of the day. Now let's get to the funny stuff. Enjoy and have an amazing day!

Happy Monday, friends! How are you all doing? What's new? Was the weekend a good one? The most amazing man in the world and I spent yesterday in Ottawa. We stopped off at a couple of places to do some shopping and then headed over to my daughter and her boyfriend's place. From there we all went out for lunch/coffee/dessert. We had a wonderful time seeing these amazing young people. They're both doing great. We'll be seeing them again later in the mother for the holiday celebration.
What about you? Share your news in the comments.
Now let's get to the funny stuff.
Have a good one, everyone!

Happy Monday, friends. And happy December! As you may have noticed, my blog header has disappeared. I went to replace it yesterday with a seasonal image and POOF, it was gone. And so were any options to add a new one. I tried just about everything to resolve the problem. Nothing worked. As a temporary solution I added the blog's name in the right margin, so people could know where the heck they are. I have no clue what it'll take to fix this. I may have to choose a new blog template, which will require quite a bit of work. UGH...just thinking about it makes me tired. Fingers crossed that the option to add a header shows up again. We shall see.
For now, I'm grateful that I still have a functional blog where I can share stuff with you. Here is this week's humour fix. Enjoy!

It's Monday! Happy last week of November, blogging friends. Can you believe it? This month is almost over. I don't know what happened! It just zipped right by. I'm okay with that because it's one step closer to the holidays and one month less of winter-type weather. As many of you know, spring is my favourite season and the faster we get there, the happier I'll be.
What's new with everyone? What are you up to? The most amazing man in the world and I are being lazy these days. We tend to slow down this time of year and take it easy. We are continuing to eat healthy and exercise, especially me, and the weight I lost way back is still off. In fact, I lost even more than I planned. I dropped 24 pounds instead of 10 and have maintained my new weight since then. What did I change? I eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, plenty of legumes, a lot less meat (about once a week or less) and much less bread. And on those rare moments when I do eat bread, I only eat the healthiest types. Sweets are far and few in between, and pasta is so rare you'd think it's a mythological creature. I don't miss any old habits, I've never felt better and the best thing of all is that I'm never hungry!
Okay, that's enough of boring you with my life. Let's get to why you're really here! Enjoy, and have an amazing day ahead.

Happy new week, friends! How is everything going for you? I hope you're all well. And I hope you all had a really nice weekend. Ours was rather quiet. We'd due for a day trip to Montreal or Ottawa. Or someplace else. I really enjoy getting out and about this time of year to soak in the holiday energy and decorations. Makes the cold and snow and less daylight more tolerable.
What do you like - or not like - about this time of year? Do share your thoughts in the comments. I'd love to hear all about it.
Nothing else to say for now, so let's get right to it. Enjoy and have a great week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles
Happy Tuesday, dear friends! How is everyone? I didn't want to post funny stuff yesterday because it was Remembrance Day, so I moved the silliness a day forward. Seemed like the right thing to do.
You know what we got tons of? Snow. Lots and lots and lots of snow. It started yesterday afternoon while I was at the food bank, and by the time I finished there and headed for home, winter had struck. Being in denial, despite the news that a big dump of snow was on the way, I had left home with a light winter jacket and running shoes on my feet. Thankfully the jacket was waterproof and I had had the good sense to bring a pair of gloves along (a flimsy pair, but still). Or else I would have been in worse shape after cleaning the snow off the car! Oh well, lesson learned. Sometimes the weather forecast is correct.
And you? What's going on there? Snow? Rain? Sunshine? Cold? Warm? Do tell... And enjoy these funny images while you're at it.
Have a good one!

Happy Monday, everyone! And happy November, too, while we're at it. Can you believe we're going to be celebrating the holidays next month. HOLY crap on a cracker...before you know it, it'll be 2020.
How was the weekend? And how was Halloween? Our weekend was quiet and so was our Halloween. Trick or treating for the youngsters turned out to be a lousy night weather-wise. It was pouring rain all day and all night. Never let up. Some brave souls made their way around the neighbourhoods but it was a lot quieter than other years.
Anyhow, busy day ahead, so let's get right to the silliness! Enjoy and have a wonderful day.
