Happy new week, friends! How are you all doing? What's new? What's up? What have you been keeping yourselves busy with? Do share in the comments below! It's been pretty laid back for us, especially with the weather being less than ideal. But that's okay. Spring will be here before we know it.
Saturday, the most amazing man in the world and his band put on one of their best performances to date. We had dinner beforehand with the band members and their partners, and then enjoyed some great music. And yesterday was the weekly get-together with the amazing group at the metaphysical store. Lots of fun there as usual. All in all a wonderful weekend.
And now let's all laugh out loud! Enjoy and have a great day ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles
Happy Monday, blogging pals. How are you all doing? How was your weekend? We are freezing our butts off. It's -23°C (-9.4°F) as I write this. And we've gone tons of snow to go with this glorious (NOT) temperature. It all arrived during yesterday's snowstorm. The joys of winter, eh? I'd rather be on a tropical island sipping a piƱa colada as I lie on the beach. What's going on in your part of the world?
This afternoon I will make my way to the food bank where I volunteer. It'll make me quit complaining about the weather very quickly as I watch people dealing with hardships make their way there no matter what's going on outside. It'll remind me that I have enough to eat, a warm house and a cushy life. That'll set me straight.
And that's the end of that. Now here's this week's funny stuff. Enjoy and have a beautiful day ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles
Happy Monday, friends! How are you all doing? How was your weekend? What's new with you? I haven't posted for a whole week and I think that's how it's going to be for a while. This is the time of year when I'm more or less in hibernation mode. I don't have much to say and not much desire to say anything either. I thought about taking a break from blogging but I don't mind sharing some funny stuff each Monday. So once a week I will attempt to make you laugh and the rest of the week I'll post if and when I'm up to it. Or not post at all.
Now let's get to this week's laughs!
Have a good one.

Chuckles and Chortles
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Did you do anything special/interesting/unusual? Ours was mostly quiet. We finally took down the Christmas tree on Saturday and put away all our holiday decorations. Now I'm ready for spring! Yesterday was the weekly meeting at the local metaphysical store. The ambience, the people, the topics...all awesome. So thrilled to have stumbled upon this group!
And that's that. Now let's get to the funny stuff.
Have a wonderful day!

This Week
Happy Friday, blogging friends! How is everything going? What have you been up to? What’s the start of 2019 been like? Have you made resolutions? Do you ever make them? Did you celebrate/enjoy the holidays? Are you glad they are over?
I love the holiday season, so I’m always sad when it ends, especially because after that we just have winter, winter and more winter. I’m not a fan of this season, although I will say that no matter how many years go by, I am always in awe of the beauty that freshly fallen snow brings with it. It is magical outside as I write this.
Yesterday there was a band social. The most amazing man in the world and I got together with his music band members and their partners/wives at one of the band member’s home. He and his wife invited the whole gang over for dinner, which was really nice of them. Dinner was great and so was the company. We laughed, we ate, laughed some more, ate some more, and had interesting conversations. These are the types of social gatherings I enjoy. Very concentrated and not very noisy. All my introvert friends will understand.
On the first of the month I started a gratitude journal. At the end of each day I write down something I’m grateful for. I thought this would be difficult but it’s proving to be very easy. It’s amazing how many little things throughout the day bring you joy when you really stop and think about it. This exercise is also teaching me to really appreciate these blessings that I take for granted. It’s all about being mindful.
Do you do a reading challenge? I do one annually. This year I’ve committed to reading 20 books. I’ve already finished one; just 19 more to go! It might seem like a lot but it isn’t when you’re a bookaholic. Right now I’m reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. It stresses the importance of living in the present and avoiding thoughts of the past or future. Mindfulness! I haven’t gotten very far yet but it’s very interesting so far. Are you a reader?
Things have really slowed down around here. When the holidays end, the frantic pace ends, too. Not that I’m complaining. Our Christmas tree is still up but we’ll probably take care of that this weekend. Hopefully. It all depends on how sluggish we feel – or not – this weekend.
And that’s a wrap. Have a beautiful weekend, everyone!

Question Of The Day
There were so many important lessons in 2018. But if I must choose one, I choose the one that has served me very well:
Mindfulness. Being aware right here, right now; fully engaged in the present moment.
How about you?
