Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone, and happy February! How are you all doing? What have you been up to? How is your weather? It's warmed up in our little city but we're now dealing with freezing rain. The absolute worst! Hopefully all this crazy weather clears up soon. On the plus side, we are closer to the end of winter. I can finally say: "next month it's spring". So there's that. We have to stay optimistic, no?

And what better way to stay positive than by laughing it up? Here is my contribution to put you all in a good mood. Enjoy!

    February is definitely the best winter month because it's three days shorter than the others and if we can . . . just . . . get . . . through . . . it . . . SPRING!! (even if it's in name only)

    Love the funnies - it took me a few moments to see the big face under the ice of the fishing cartoon, but I think the slow realization made it even better :)

    I hope your freezing rain goes away and things warm up so there's no ice to slip on. We have to think of these things as we get older. Nobody wants a broken bone or a concussion. Stay warm and safe, Martha!

      I am happy that we're at least in February. And I agree...if we can just get through it! LOL

      Our freezing rain didn't happen earlier this week but it's supposed to happen today. Or tomorrow. I'm hoping that like earlier this week, it didn't happen at all!

    Ha ha ha ha...that financial adviser sounds like some I've KNOWN...in fact, I think Alex will be wearing the mask and I'll drive the car. :)
    We have freezing rain here too. I'm hoping we don't lose power, though it's 2C right now! Insanity because I saw that the deep freeze will be back by Friday. It's going to be a bloody ice rink.

    Martha, we think the 3 cats have mites, eegad. We do our best NOT to support the vet hospitals anymore because of the cost. If we bring the three cats in, with exams, tests and prescriptions, we're looking at over $300!!! We ordered some Revolution because I spoke to a tech at the Laval DMV and she said that's how they treat them. She said they clean out the ears and give them one month of Revolution. We ordered it from another country so no prescription necessary. We're hoping it does the job. Have you ever dealt with this? Thank goodness none of the dogs are showing signs of infestation!!!

      I think I'm going to be wearing the mask, Rain :)

      We never got the freezing rain at the beginning of the week but now we're told it'll happen today or tomorrow. Or Friday? It's so unpredictable lately. I'll be happy when winter is over!

      That is awful about the cats. I've never had to deal with it, thankfully. I do hope the product works for you. I am with you on the vet costs. They are astronomical!

    I do love visiting you, you always bring sunshine to my trip though the blogosphere! We had unseasonal and surprising sun and warm(er) temperatures today and it was glorious. I was out doing a tree survey had a thoroughly enjoyable time. I don't expect it will last but I made the most of it. Best wishes to you and yours.

    oh such good ones today!! love them all and the book from Ikea, lolol. Our last big storms that came through was in 2017 - so last year was light when it came to rain and snow and this year is crazy stormy

    Hey Martha,

    Thought I'd drop by for a chuckle or two. For some strange reason, I rather miss Canadian toilets. Okay, "miss" might be the wrong word. That IKEA one just about sums up the instructions nightmare that IKEA is famous or infamous for.

    LOL...I've seen that IKEA book one a few times, but it still makes me laugh. LOVED the cold toilet seat one and need to remember to share with a few of my friends from up north. The retirement one is hitting home right now with all the work we're doing to get Dad settled in his assisted living home and make sure he has enough to live on.
