Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, blogging friends. How is everyone? What have you been up to? What's been keeping you busy? We are looking forward to getting out a lot more as the weather improves. Can't wait for those long walks and lengthy bike rides! And visiting and exploring neighbouring towns and cities. Squeeeeeee!

Remember when I mentioned that I was on a journey to lose a few pounds and get into shape? This came about because we'd gotten lazy over the winter and did a little too much munching on crap, which brought on a few extra unwanted pounds. This didn't surprise me. Well a little over two weeks ago I decided enough is enough. I ditched all the junk food, stocked up on real food and got back to eating healthy. I always exercise regularly, so that wasn't an added effort, but that activity combined with better nutrition has brought on positive results: I've already lost 4 pounds! My goal is 10 and I don't see a problem getting there.

This Wednesday I have a colonoscopy exam. Perhaps this is a little too much information, but I can't stress enough how important this medical procedure is. You have one day of discomfort as you prepare for the test and a few hours of inconvenience on the day of, but it may catch early onset of colon cancer. I've already done this test before and find it very easy (aside from the preparation). If your doctor recommends it, do it. It may save your life.

And that's enough of all the 'awkwardness'. Let's get to the funny stuff.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging friends! How is everyone? What's new? What's going on? We've got tons of sunshine here this morning and I am so grateful for that. I'm also grateful for melting snow, a cold that was trying to get a grip on me for a few days but seems to be losing the battle, and my second cup of coffee in a mug with an adorable lady bug on it and the inscription "You're My Love Bug". The most amazing man in the world bought it for me last year, which makes it extra special. It's the little things in life that bring us the most joy, amiright?

Hey, you know what I tried for the first time ever last week? Zoodles! You know...zucchini noodles that you create with a spiralizer. I've been meaning to try them for ages but never got around to it. I suppose not having a spiralizer played a huge part in the delay (duh) but I ran across a hand-held one for only $3 at a shop I was browsing a couple of weeks ago and couldn't resist buying it. So I finally made some zoodles (don't you love that word?). And...drumroll...I LOVED them. Holy crap on a cracker, are they ever good. I can't believe I waited this long. They will replace regular pasta and contribute to my journey of shedding a few pounds and getting into shape. Have you ever tried zoodles?

Now enough blah, blah, blah... Let's get to the funny stuff. Enjoy and have a fabulous day!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone! How are you all doing? What's going on with you? Anything new and exciting to share? Or even not so new and exciting? Write all about it in the comments below.

Nothing worth sharing on our end. We've still got a lot of snow around but it's going to be milder this week, so hopefully most of it will be gone very soon! Definitely looking forward to that.

Now let's get to the funny stuff.

Have a good one!

Chuckles and Chortles

And we're back... How are you all doing? What have you been up to? What's going on in your part of the world? Not much to report on our end. We've been doing a little of this and a little of that. We recently finished the series 'The Office' on Netflix, which we really enjoyed. Any suggestions as to what to watch next would be greatly appreciated.

Are you excited that it's March? I am ecstatic. No matter what this month brings, there's no getting around the fact that spring is just around the favourite season of the year! I'm looking forward to more daylight, better weather and more time spent outdoors. What's your favourite season of the year?

While you think about that, I'll share these images below to (hopefully) get you laughing. Happy new week and happy March!

It'll come to you. Just give it a minute.

I howled with laughter with this one. I saw it on a site that a blogging friend linked to.
He shares really interesting things. Go pay him a visit here.
