Happy Monday to all! How is everyone doing? What are you up to these days? Anything new and exciting? Share in the comments below.
I'm running late today. I'm getting ready to have lunch, so I can take off in the afternoon and head over to the food bank where I volunteer. I've been going there every Monday since September and I'm still enjoying it very much.
And this evening I'll be attending a tarot course at the library! There is a 2-hour class going on every Monday for six weeks and - get this - they are all free! How cool is that? You gotta love the library. I'm really looking forward to this course and I'll check regularly at the library to see what else is offered. It's always fun to learn new things.
Anyhow, let's get to it because the clock is ticking. Enjoy and have a wonderful day!
Brandan's post about vaccination is more true than funny. Got a laugh out of the homo-sapien joke even if it is an old joke, it is still funny.
ReplyDeleteSome jokes are funny no matter how many times we see them!
Delete"Santa, after the holidays" LOL -- what a racket! And your tarot course sounds very exciting! I know you'll enjoy it. The tarot is endlessly fascinating.
ReplyDeleteIt is so true, Debra! I've been studying it for months now and enjoying every minute. This course is the icing on the cake!
DeleteNicky's Roof Repair - LOL! Love the text from the cat, too. All funny, as usual, Martha! I'm glad you're enjoying your volunteer work. It's much easier to keep giving if you're enjoying at least some part of it.
ReplyDeleteOh, for sure! I couldn't continue to volunteer there if I didn't enjoy it. It is a lot of fun and it's an amazing organization.
DeleteHaha, love the Santa one. Clever meme about vaccinations.
ReplyDeleteSanta has to do something the rest of the year :)
DeleteSo that's why Santa comes down the chimneys.
ReplyDeleteSneaky, isn't he? LOL
DeleteAnti-vaxxers are maddening in their stupidity. Somebody needs to round up all the Trumpets, creationists, flat earthers and the antivax people and send them to Russia.
ReplyDeleteWhy Russia????????????
DeleteAren't they more at home in the GREAT USA?????????
Colin
This anti-vax stuff is really getting out of hand. Vulnerable people are put in danger because of this mentality.
DeleteHow sweet of you to volunteer at the food bank. I love the Santa comic :)I wish my library offered a free tarot course. I have cards and just look them up in the book, but it takes me a long time. I hope you have a great week! XO
ReplyDeletePerhaps someone will offer that course at some point. You just never know! We got really lucky here that someone was generous enough to do this.
DeleteHow exciting that you're taking a tarot course, Martha! My healing touch massage therapist gives me a reading before each session. They're fairy cards (because I'm Celtic), but same idea. It always fascinating to see how uncanny those cards are! I have a friend who is anti-vaccine, so the vaccine one seems more true than funny. Loved the homosapien one!!! LOL Have a great week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome, Louise, about the healing touch massage therapist. Do she do reiki. I've made some friends here who do that. There are so many beautiful tarot cards out there. I have about three different decks, one of them the standard Rider-Waite that I use to learn with. But my favourite is The Everyday Witch Tarot that George bought for me for my birthday. That is such a fun deck!
DeleteThere are anti-vax people everywhere these days. The numbers seem to be growing. The measles is now making a big comeback because of this.
Hope your week is going well!
Great about the tarot course, learning is fun! Thanks for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteHa, ha loved the one about the textbooks! (Sadly there's a grain of truth in that one)
ReplyDeleteVery true! Those books can be awfully expensive.
DeleteSo funny - all of them. A tarot course - that sounds great and its' free - maybe you can do a tarot card spread for all of us... Well.. that probably wouldn't work. darn. I had a friend give me a reading one time and it was pretty accurate.
ReplyDeleteDoing readings can be fun. I've never done it for anyone but I do them regularly for myself. This course is great because we get to do readings amongst ourselves in the group attending. And it's all free classes! I couldn't be happier :)
DeleteLOL with the text message from the "cat." That is neat that your library offers free classes like that, Martha. I'm thinking ours does too, we just don't have schedules that allow this right now but plan to look into them when hubby retires :)
ReplyDeletebetty
I think all libraries offer interesting things all the time. I've never bothered attending before. This is a first for me but I imagine there'll be more up ahead!
DeleteThis is great dear Martha that you are enjoying your days with plenty of business
ReplyDeletebusiness is most exciting hobby i believe :)
learning tarot must be a fun
i find a library HEAVEN ON EARTH ,no one around to pull you back from your dive into the book lol
how nice that you are also enjoying your job in food bank ,i think they provide free food to needy people RIGHT?
enjoyed the funny stuff so much
hugs!
Yes, the food bank provides food for those in need. It is such a great organization. I'm so glad I decided to join and help. I am really enjoying my time there!
DeleteThose were good ones, Martha!! Libraries are great places! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThey are, Jenn! I will start visiting more often now.
DeleteHey Martha...great jokes! Enjoy your week...
ReplyDeleteWhere has Birdie gone??
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I've been wondering the same thing, Linda. I haven't heard a peep from her in ages.
Deletethank you for memes...make me smile
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome!
DeleteLibraries are awesome! (I work in one 😁)
ReplyDeleteOh, lucky you! That's a place I would work in if I had the opportunity.
DeleteI loved that one: "both of those books." Priceless.
ReplyDeleteKeep a smile, Martha.
You, too, Robyn! I hope you're been having a great week.
DeleteThese are too too funny, just cracked me ALL the way up! I enjoyed visiting and reading here. Thanks for the laughs, made my day!
