Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, friends! How's is everything? What did you do this weekend? Anything new going on? Not much to report on our end. Just keeping busy and trying to get out and enjoy life. We haven't had much of a spring up until now but I'm hoping things will really pick up as we head towards June.

Our cedars were planted last week on Wednesday. The company that we hired did an amazing job and we are extremely pleased with the results. Each little tree (about 4 feet tall) was planted with great care and with a whole lot of TLC. This doesn't surprise me since all the cedars are personally grown by the company we hired, so it's their babies! I will gladly recommend this business to others and I am grateful to them for a job well done.

Now let's laugh, shall we? Enjoy!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday Tuesday, blogging friends! I'm a day late for the weekly funny stuff but it happens sometimes. Yesterday got completely away from me and I didn't get a chance to sit down and put a post together. Ah well, here I am today.

What are you all up to? Anything to share? Do so below in the comments. I love hearing from you.

Tomorrow our cedars get planted around our corner lot. YIPPEE!!! The company that's doing the work was supposed to come next month but they moved us up a few weeks. No complaints on our end. The sooner we create our private sanctuary and keep the buttinskis at bay, the better.

Nothing else to report, so let's get right to the chuckles and chortles. Enjoy and have a great day ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, friends! How are you all doing? How was the weekend? For those who celebrated, how was Mother's Day? I didn't celebrate with my kids yesterday but the most amazing man in the world and I did have a potluck get-together with some friends, which was lots of fun. I did visit with my younger daughter earlier in the week when I drove up to Ottawa to see her. We went out for lunch, did some shopping and stopped for a quick coffee at a tiny little café before I dropped her off at her place. It was a wonderful time. Even the weather was amazing.

What wasn't amazing was my inability to find my way out of the city to head home. We have a portable GPS that I plug into the car and the problem with that is that, unlike the app my daughter uses on her phone, our 'outdated' system has no clue about construction zones, soooo...my 'brilliant' GPS, which we've named Madge, kept trying to get me to turn on blocked roads. And let me tell you, it seemed like the whole darn city was under construction. On top of that, I had to deal with some crazy-ass traffic as I was being held hostage. Finally, after 30 minutes of going around in circles in an unfamiliar city, I decided to figure it out on my own. Well, despite the fact that I typically have absolutely no sense of direction, I did manage to make my way out of that crazy maze. All worth it, though, for the time spent with my daughter!

Hey, any of you watching anything interesting lately on Netflix? We recently started Breaking Bad and we are really enjoying it. I had it on my list for ages and wasn't sure whether it was worth it or not. I am so glad we decided to give it a go. And right before this series, we watched The Crown. Any of you seen it? It is awesome, especially the acting. That's another series we were hesitant about that turned out to be a great choice. Anyhow, two shows I recommend for those who have Netflix.

Now it's time for some funny stuff, right? Let's do it.

Have a great week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone! How are you doing? Did you have a good week and an even better weekend? Do share in the comments below.

I finished all my spring house cleaning, which really exhausted, me but now I'm free to concentrate on other things...primarily the outdoors. There are a lot of jobs to do outside but the most exciting one is that we will soon be planting cedars around our property, so we will FINALLY be creating some privacy around our corner lot. The company that we hired to do the job will be coming on June 4th. Can't wait! Privacy is essential for us introverts.

Our weather has been awesome! The rain finally stopped, the sun has come up, temperatures have risen and we've been able to enjoy lengthy walks. We haven't gone cycling yet but that should be coming up very soon. Also, road trips! I'm looking forward to exploring our city and surrounding areas. I just love this time of year.

Here's something fun. My younger daughter, as some of you may remember, plays in a band called 'The Monotymes' with three other friends. They do a lot of public performances in different venues in Ottawa and they're having a great time. Anyhow, I'm excited to share the video below that showcases one of their newest songs. My daughter is the bass player and backup singer to the right. I hope you enjoy!

Now let's get to today's funny stuff, shall we?

Have a great day!
