It's Monday, everyone, and that means another round of funny stuff. But before we do that, tell me how your weekend was. Did you enjoy it? Did you do anything special? What's new with you? What have you been keeping busy with?
Our weekend was a mix of busy and not busy at all. It's all about balance, right? But today is not balanced. The pendulum is going to swing to rapid pace mode! I'll start with helping out at the food bank in the afternoon, have a quick supper when I return home and then head over to the library for the final tarot class. The course has been awesome and lots of fun. And totally free! I'll have to keep a lookout for other interesting courses offered at our local library.
How's your weather these days? We're still waiting for really nice days. We've had too much rain and it's still fairly cool, especially at night. Would the real spring please stand up! If you are enjoying great weather, please send some our way. I'll take care of the shipping costs!
And that's it for now. Got lots to do, so let's get to the part where we laugh. Enjoy, and have a great day ahead.
Thanks for the laughs, Martha. Have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoy them!
DeleteLOL! I love the alien abduction one; it sure rings a few bells :) And the chef competition with spouses - I thought my husband was the only one who did that. This will make him laugh :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the funnies, Martha! You always find such good ones!
I see you are reading A Dog's Way Home - are you enjoying it? I've recently read two others by that author and they are excellent (A Dog's Purpose, and The Dog Master). Is A Dog's Way Home too sad? I don't need a good cry at the moment!
That one about chef competition is hilarious! I think I'd have a good shot at winning :)
DeleteI have read a couple of other books from this author and I loved them both. The first one I started with is 'A Dog's Purpose', which I did shed some tears with.
A Dog's Way Home is just as terrific and it is far from being sad. I also wasn't in the mood for a tear jerker at this time, and I was prepared to put it aside for a later date if it came to that. But I'm almost finished reading it and so far, so good. It tugs at the heartstrings for the connection between animals and people, but nothing that traumatizes and has you crying for days!
Oh, excellent - thanks, Martha!
DeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteHey Martha :) Great funnies, Kermit! LOL...that one really got me!
ReplyDeleteTarot class? I guess I missed something, that sounds like a lot of fun! Are you doing the traditional Ryder Waite teachings? I'm so happy you are doing that course...isn't the Tarot just the best?? :)
Saturday was great, as you read already on my blog. Yesterday was cold and rainy, same crap today...I'm hoping for the sun to finally show up tomorrow so I can plant my lettuce seeds - have to build a raised bed first though.
The tarot class was a blast! Even George came along. We went to make memberships at the library and I decided to join the tarot class at the same time. While I was registering, I turned to him and said "Hey, you want to come?" and I he shrugged and said "Why not?" That's what happens when you are retired. You have free time to get into all kinds of things. LOL I gave him one of my decks and he is now well versed in reading cards. So now, when I go on and on about tarot stuff, he'll know what the heck I'm talking about! HAHA
DeleteHey, let's hope for more warmth and sun. We had another cool and wet day today. I'm so tired of that!
I think it's great that George is so interested!
DeleteI think so, too! He certainly supports everything I do, even all the weird stuff! LOL
DeleteI need a smile today.
ReplyDeleteI hope this helped, John!
DeleteThanks for the laughs! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure!
DeleteI don't know if that last one is true.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they'd squeal. But I do think they wouldn't hesitate to blackmail :)
DeleteLucy sure had an expressive face. :D Thanks for the laughs.
ReplyDeleteShe did! She was very funny.
DeleteHi Martha! Yes, please find someone to send some summer weather. It was 4 degrees this morning!! Four! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThis weather has been horrible! Spring is almost over and it's been mostly crappy. I hope summer doesn't go down that same road.
DeleteLoyal cat.
ReplyDeleteIn a way. Until they black mail you!
DeleteLove the Lucy emojis!
ReplyDeleteShe is so funny!
DeleteGood hot dry weekend here. I took my birders to the Ellis Bird Farm and it was awesome. Google Ellis bird farm.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I saw and read on your blog, it does look like an awesome place!
DeleteHa ha, I am with Debra on that last one! Those Lucy emojis are just spot on.
ReplyDeleteLucy was way ahead of her time!
DeleteThe Lucy emojis are brilliant ~ My goodness, she was a comic genius! You always manage to find such great funnies, Martha! My weekend was busy with deep cleaning because it was lovely and cool here; but it's always bracketed with dinner and wine on Friday night and dinner and wine on Sunday night at my favorite Parkway. And I finally finished "The Mueller Report." That was a slog let me tell you, but revealing. Taking a tarot class must be fascinating. I have a reading before my massage, a biweekly event when I'm home (although my friend uses a fairy deck which I like). It always amazes me at what cards come up. I just shake my head, because I don't understand it; but it's always informative and gives me a lot to think about. I hope you get lost of insights from your layouts. Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how much effort it took to read that report! But at least you can now have an intelligent and well-informed discussion about it.
DeleteI really enjoyed the tarot class. And there should be another one coming up in September that I hope to attend. I am open to learning new things, especially this type. The lady that taught the class may also introduce other things in the future. Should be fun!
So true about Lucy and her expressions. Hope it warms up a bit for you.
ReplyDeleteBetty
I hope so, Betty! Or else it's going to be a very short summer :(
DeleteAlien abductions....that explains it!! lol
ReplyDeleteLots of rain here and very cool days and nights....keeps the black flies at bay for now.
That is true, Jim. But hopefully we start getting some nice weather soon!
DeleteI wish my library had classes like that. Great funnies- especially the Lucy one. I love Lucy and even had a cat named after her. I was always saying, Lucy you have a lot of splaining to do : ) Have a wonderful week! XO
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! That sounds cute. And Lucy is such a sweet name for a cat!
DeleteThanks for the smiles Martha! Sounds like we are having the same weather. Spring arrived and then the non-stop rains! Today feels like summer though, hot and humid! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteLots of rain on our end this spring, especially lately. Hopefully the REAL summer-type weather comes along soon because winters are much too long around here!
DeleteHappy rest of the week to you!
Cats don't tell the police where you hide your drugs - hilarious! Sounds like you definitely are busy. Our summer has just arrived - like today - it feels very warm in the sun. We will now change our timeline when we go out walking - more late afternoon than earlier. I never like to be out when the sun is directly overhead - oddly the sun "FEELS" so hot anymore even when it's only 50 or 60 degrees out, let alone 80 plus.
ReplyDeleteI'm like you, Sandy. I don't like that midday sun beating on my head! But we haven't had much of that nice summery weather lately, so being out at any time of day makes no difference.
DeleteOh my gosh, that kermit one about the neighbors had me chuckling out loud because it's so spot on. LOL
ReplyDeleteRight? It is hilarious. And so true!
DeleteInteresting!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
DeleteI am glad you are enjoying your business dear Martha!
ReplyDeletei will never allow my weather to get close to you my friend as it is 45c right now :(
i wish you a lovely spring as soon as possible :)
thank you for smiles ,last one made me laugh ,so true
Hugs!
Wow, that is so hot, Baili! I wouldn't want that much heat but since you have that much, send some over and you'll feel better!
DeleteHope you're having a wonderful weekend xo
Many thanks for the laughs Martha.
ReplyDeleteI hope your week, and weekend has gone well. We've had a mix of weather here in the UK and many areas have had a lot of rain from Storm Miguel … I think we are going to get more rain tomorrow... it certainly helps the garden grow (although too much will not be good!)
Keep well, be happy :)
All the best Jan
Always a pleasure, Jan! I hope you've enjoyed a really lovely weekend :)
