Happy Monday, dear friends! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. And I hope your week is off to a great start. What's up with all of you? How are you doing? Share your news below.
Our weather has improved. Practically overnight. Because that's the way we do things in Canada. One day you're freezing and the next you're digging out the sandals and shorts. The past few days have been sunny and warm and just plain awesome.
It's been a very busy couple of days. Saturday we spent the entire day in Montreal. We visited with family, did some shopping and stopped in at the bookstore before we headed back home. All in all a wonderful day.
And yesterday was the meetup at the weekly metaphysical store where some really interesting conversations were going on. Today I'll be helping out at the food bank and be totally out of steam by the time I return home. All this socializing and running around has totally drained my battery. Tomorrow I'm going to do absolutely, positively nothing. And enjoy every minute of it.
Right now I'm going to share some funny stuff and wish you all an awesome Monday! Enjoy.
LOL with the Dylan one. I can relate to that house surrounded by all those bushes. I think I would like living there. Seemed like you had a great weekend! Glad that the weather is finally turning nice for you guys! Enjoy it while it lasts.

We've actually planted bushes around our property, so we're working on that total privacy :)
Deleteloved the Dylan one most of all. LOL Glad you had a great weekend and your weather is improving!
ReplyDeleteThat had me laughing out loud!
Deletehahaha thanks for the laughs, we are caught up in the NBA Basketball excitement. Go Raptors!
ReplyDeleteAnd they won!
DeleteAs a fellow introvert, I understand the need for downtime after socializing. These are great funnies , I love the knock knock joke :) Have a wonderful week! xo
ReplyDeleteDowntime is absolutely essential for us! Hope you've been enjoying a wonderful week xo
DeleteLOVE the ghost meme!! So funny, so well worded :)
ReplyDeleteI get your need for downtime after socializing. I try to plan my weeks so I don't have too many "out" times too close together. Tomorrow is a fail on that front - I'm seeing friends in the morning, have a dental appointment in the afternoon, and a meeting in the evening - GAH!
I try to do the same. If I spread things out, I don't get as exhausted. But it doesn't all work out that way and I end up totally out of energy!
DeleteThese are all so funny. I especially like scared of Dylan and can't tell a dog a knock knock joke. When we watch TV, every time a doorbell rings on a show, Franklin and Penelope bark and head for our front door. They don't understand that they should go help the people in the house on TV. You've been quite the busy bee. I hope you write about the metaphysical store. That sounds interesting. Our weekend was so busy. As soon as the Trumps left England, Franklin, Penelope, and I hopped on a plane and headed over there. We couldn't miss Trooping The Colour. We got a lot of great photos. Franklin and I have to keep Penelope away from the camera, though, because she's so fussy with it--always talking about apertures and framing the shot and yelling at the royal family: Freeze! Hold that position.
ReplyDeleteThen she told the guards at Buckingham Palace that the Queen had invited her for dinner. She was not invited for dinner. It was only birthday cake. Such an embarrassment.
Love,
Janie
HAHAHA! You are hilarious! Your blog post still has me laughing :)
DeleteOh, that last one, LOL! I stole it.
ReplyDeleteSteal away! :)
DeleteHaha, the last 2 cracked me up! Enjoy your day doing nothing.
ReplyDeleteIt was an awesome day! :)
DeleteLove Dylan's quote!
ReplyDeleteIt's hilarious!
DeleteDylan is a pyscho
ReplyDeleteHAHA! He just might be :)
DeleteWe are experiencing 'your' wonderful weather as well here in the Maritimes....thanks Martha, we owe you!!
ReplyDeleteThat last one cracked me up! lol
Did you take all of it, Jim? Because it's now rainy and miserable. Share some with us! LOL
DeleteWish I had your weather here...
ReplyDeleteWe're not into rain but hopefully by Sunday the nice weather will return.
DeleteDoing nothing is great. I'm gonna do that later.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed doing nothing as much as I did! :)
DeleteGreat funnies Martha! I am totally with the "completely done" one!!! We had a great start to the week weather wise, but it's down to 10 and rainy again today sigh. At least it'll keep the weekenders in the city!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! So true. Bad weekends mean less intrusion and annoyance for you :)
DeleteOur weather, here in the UK, can be quick to change too! We have had a lot of rain and flooding in some areas this week …
ReplyDeleteI hope your week has gone well, I enjoyed the funnies, especially the first one:)
All the best Jan
Thank you, Jan! It's been a good one. And I hope it's been good for you, too :)
DeleteSounds like you had a good weekend and now here is another one - ....My sister and her granddaughter were here visiting and really enjoyed the time with them. We did a lot of walking, eating, playing rummicube at night after dinner and it was all fun. I took a few days to recuperate and get back to normal. I always find it hard no matter who visits to feel normal in the house again. It's like they bring their energy and share it for awhile and then remove it when they leave and it feels empty or different. Love the funnies!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely time, Sandy! And I totally understand what you mean about the energy being removed and your home feeling different. I feel that way, too, after such gatherings. It's an adjustment!
Deletedear Martha i can imagine how long you have waited for such beautiful warm weather and finally there you are :)
ReplyDeleteso glad that you had wonderful outing and shopping with family
i always wonder about metaphysical group discussion must be so meaningful and source of great learning

I'm glad you enjoyed, dear friend! I hope all is well with you. Hugs xo
DeleteSo funny. Dylan is a scary kid. Loved that one.
