Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday Tuesday, everyone! I know I'm a day late but that couldn't be helped. We spent the entire day in Ottawa yesterday starting with attending my younger daughter's graduation ceremony in the morning. OHMYGOSH... I can't tell you how excited and proud and just plain over the moon I was. I had to wave away a few tears when it was her turn to walk on stage. Where did four years of university go? And she has even found a job within her field within a month of finishing school. HOLY MOLY!

My older daughter was also there from Montreal, which was the icing on the cake. To have both my girls there on what also turned out to be an amazingly gorgeous day was such a blessing. We went out to lunch after the ceremony and my younger daughter's boyfriend joined us. He couldn't be there for the ceremony because he was in school (he is studying for his master's this year) but he was able to spend the rest of the day with us. We all had a great time laughing, chatting, catching up. All in all, a perfect day.

So that's where I was at! Now let's get to the funny stuff, shall we?

Wishing you all an awesome day!

  6. Congrats to your daughter! Good for her too in landing a job in her field! Wishing her much success! LOL with the cartoons, loved the chewable exercise one! I noticed what you are reading; I like Kristin Hannah and have read most if not all she wrote. I'm currently reading the Tattoo Artist of Auschwitz. I "like" stories of WW2 and the Holocaust so to me it is a fascinating story.

    1. Thank you, Betty! And I'm so glad you enjoyed all the cartoons.

I have read a few books from Kristin Hannah. Her stories are light and engaging. Great for summer reading. And the Tattoo Artist of Auschwitz is one I'd like to get to at some point!

  7. Congratulations to your younger daughter! It really is an emotional experience seeing them graduate and knowing a very special time in their lives has reached an end. It's so great that she already has a job in her field; many grads cannot say the same.

Excellent funnies - I love the Lays chips one and am pinching it to send to our son :) Love the 20 lashes one also - too funny! Heck, I loved 'em all today :)

    1. It is extremely emotional. I was thinking about when the kids were little and shocked at how fast the years go by. I wish I could go back for a short period of time and be that young mom with those young kids again. I truly enjoyed it.

My daughter is thrilled to have landed a job so quickly. And I'm so happy for her!

  18. wow you must be so proud - i would be - four years and a job soon after. I read often about how college graduates can't find jobs in their field and end up working in fast food or something else. This is great. Love the comics...cat beds, haha.

    1. Very true about the graduates being unable to find jobs. Some take longer, some struggle. It also depends on what fields they do into and how much competition and demand there is. I'm pleased that my daughter was able to get a job this quickly. She is over the moon about it!
