Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging pals! How is everyone doing? Did you have a nice weekend? What's going on with you? Share below. I'd love to hear from you.

It was a glorious weekend here. The weather was awesome. Saturday evening we took a nice walk by the water and yesterday we went to visit friends in our hometown. We stopped by their new place that we hadn't seen yet and afterwards we all went out to dinner at a cozy little restaurant nearby. We had a great time, as we always do when get together, and I am so grateful for good friends.

Now let's get to some funny stuff. Enjoy, and have a beautiful day ahead!

  1. Hmm, advanced aliens and they couldn't out-fly a T-rex? Maybe they fixed their spaceship with duct tape too.

  3. Excellent, as always! Love the pease porridge and the cat in the lap (been there) and the T-Rex/spaceship -- thanks, Martha :) Your walk by the river sounds wonderful. There's something about water, isn't there? As long as there's not TOO much of it!

    1. There is something about the water. It's my favourite place to be. As long as it's not overflowing and flooding areas!

    1. I've never tried pineapple on pizza, so I'm not even sure if I'd like it or not. I don't even know what the fuss is all about. If you like it, what does it matter? :)

  7. Thanks for the batch of scary cuteness, Martha.
Hope you're having a good week.

  8. Seeing duct tape used on a plane would probably stop me from flying. Years ago my daughter's 75-pound dog used to fall asleep on my lap. I'd sit in a big recliner. She's stretch out on me with her head on one armrest and bottom and tail on the other armrest. It was the coziest thing in the winter. I hated waking her when I had to get up. It's hotter than hell here. Or I surmise it's hotter than hell. I've been a lot of places but haven't check out hell yet.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. HAHAHA! I wonder why we use that expression. How would we know anything about hell? That's considering if one believes such a place exists to begin with.

  10. You outdid yourself with this set of funnies. The duct tape makes me glad that I don't travel :) And I fear that first one could be me someday. My Angel Lucy used to get so mad at me when she was on my lap and I had to get up. She would hiss at me, I miss her. Have a great week! XO

    1. Our calico loves to sleep on my lap. Many times I just patiently wait for her to get off on her own because I just don't have the heart to move her. Our cats seem to be the masters! HAHA

  12. Oh they are all great! Loved them! :) We had a nice warm weekend too, a bit too loud around here, but what can you do. Fingers crossed that next year we'll be gone! :) I mainly just painted and drew while sipping wine on the porch! Did a little gardening and cooking...was entertained immensely by the squirrels...had some "mommy and me" time with Jack...he's been extremely clingy to me since we got the squirrels but I'm loving his new velcro attitude lol! I took him on a little walk in the woods, just the two of us and he loved it! Today it's rainy and chilly so I'm catching up on housework (blech) and some sewing!

    1. Aw, Jack sounds adorable. He's feeling a little envious, maybe? After all, you're HIS mommy, and his alone. LOL

You have something to look forward to next week with the house hunting. Perhaps you'll find the perfect place! Fingers crosses :)

  14. hahaha absolutely no pineapple on my pizza - heck no...only pepperoni and sausage.... and duct tape -that's hilarious and I know the feeling of say...having to go the bathroom but I keep putting it off because my cat is asleep on my lap. Loved the funnies today. Sounds like you have a good time - ...Friends?!?! you mean people actually have some that they visit and just not text. I'm shocked...i haven't "seen" a friend in a few years.

    1. HAHA! Seems like we do connect a lot these days with our digital toys. We're not the busiest socially, but I do enjoy getting together occasionally with a few good friends and some family members.
