Happy Monday, friends! How are you all doing? What's new? Was the weekend a good one? The most amazing man in the world and I spent yesterday in Ottawa. We stopped off at a couple of places to do some shopping and then headed over to my daughter and her boyfriend's place. From there we all went out for lunch/coffee/dessert. We had a wonderful time seeing these amazing young people. They're both doing great. We'll be seeing them again later in the mother for the holiday celebration.

Have a good one, everyone!
Oh, that pinata one, LOL!
ReplyDeleteRight? It's so funny!
DeleteI prefer my gingerbread house with lots of gluten, but that's super cute.
ReplyDeleteHave a warm, loving week, Martha.
Thanks, Robyn! Hope your week has been great.
DeleteHah! I love the pinata vs stocking one! The chicken and rice one is funny too - the things that little kids mis-hear :)
ReplyDeleteGrown up kids, on the other hand, are also fun - for the reasons you described. You've done a great job, Martha.
Thank you! Once in awhile I get all nostalgic and miss being a young mom. But that passes and I remember how much I enjoy being an empty nester! HAHA
DeleteMe, too, on both counts :)
DeleteAll great, but the pinata one wins :) So glad to hear your daughter/boyfriend are doing great! Always a mom's relief :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Indeed, Betty. When the kids are happy, we're happy :)

ReplyDeleteIt's been pretty uneventful up until now! I hope to keep it that way :)
DeleteTerry and I both laughed at these, Martha! I'm glad that you had a nice weekend and could visit your daughter and her boyfriend. We spent ours going out for dinner twice, talking with family via FaceTime, and getting ready for Christmas ~ when we weren't celebrating a short story of mine being selected for an anthology that will be published in the spring. Sending you a big hug!
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful, Louise! How exciting. You must be overjoyed about that. So happy for you!

ReplyDeleteTrue :)
DeleteMartha, you always make me smile. Thank you.

Janie
You're very welcome!

ReplyDeleteVeggies, Yarns & Tails

DeleteAlways good to have a visit with one of the kids. I imagine it was a good day for you. And of course love the funnies!
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful day. I always enjoy spending time with them. It's really nice having adult children!
DeleteMy older daughter arrived home for Christmas yesterday, so I'm enjoying her company for the next few weeks. And now I have to start my least favourite part of Christmas, card writing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laughs!
Oh, that's nice! I hope you have a great time visiting with her.
DeleteThe cat one is hilarious Martha! Glad you had fun with your daughter and her bf! We had our tree trimming day, other than that, I'm just getting over a bit of a stomach flu. I have lots to prepare for Christmas, it's all very exciting! :) (Lots of spiked egg nog happening here too lol! Perhaps that's why my stomach is rebelling lol!)
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds awful, Rain. A stomach flu is exhausting. I hope you are feeling MUCH better by now. Maybe tone it down on the spiked eggnog. HAHA :)
DeleteNEVER!!!!! Lol...I will blame anything but the spiked eggnog hee hee...Actually I'm pretty sure it was all of those soft pretzels. total carb overload!
DeleteHAHAHA! Eggnog away, Rain. Spiked and all :)
