Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, friends! How are you all doing? What's new? Was the weekend a good one? The most amazing man in the world and I spent yesterday in Ottawa. We stopped off at a couple of places to do some shopping and then headed over to my daughter and her boyfriend's place. From there we all went out for lunch/coffee/dessert. We had a wonderful time seeing these amazing young people. They're both doing great. We'll be seeing them again later in the mother for the holiday celebration.

What about you? Share your news in the comments.

Now let's get to the funny stuff.

Have a good one, everyone!

  1. I prefer my gingerbread house with lots of gluten, but that's super cute.

  2. Hah! I love the pinata vs stocking one! The chicken and rice one is funny too - the things that little kids mis-hear :)

Grown up kids, on the other hand, are also fun - for the reasons you described. You've done a great job, Martha.

    1. Thank you! Once in awhile I get all nostalgic and miss being a young mom. But that passes and I remember how much I enjoy being an empty nester! HAHA

  9. Terry and I both laughed at these, Martha! I'm glad that you had a nice weekend and could visit your daughter and her boyfriend. We spent ours going out for dinner twice, talking with family via FaceTime, and getting ready for Christmas ~ when we weren't celebrating a short story of mine being selected for an anthology that will be published in the spring. Sending you a big hug!

  17. My older daughter arrived home for Christmas yesterday, so I'm enjoying her company for the next few weeks. And now I have to start my least favourite part of Christmas, card writing.

    Thanks for the laughs!

I have lots to prepare for Christmas, it's all very exciting! :) (Lots of spiked egg nog happening here too lol! Perhaps that's why my stomach is rebelling lol!)
