Chuckles and Chortles

A new week begins, blogging pals! They seem to just zip right by, don't they? Anything new and exciting happen in the past seven days? I don't have much to report from our end unless you count the freezing rain we had over the weekend. Have you ever had to deal with freezing rain? It is not fun, especially if you have to drive in it. I've done that in the past and it's a nightmare.

Have you been watching anything interesting? Right now we're zipping through Grace and Frankie on Netflix. It took awhile before we considered watching this series but I'm so glad we finally decided to give it a try. It's quite enjoyable. And we just wrapped up the movies 'The Godfather' and 'The Godfather Part II'. Again. We've watched both...I don't know how many times. They just never get old. It's so surreal to see Al Pacino and Robert De Niro so...young. But then I remember that these movies are almost 50 years old!

And that's that. Now let's laugh!

Wishing you all a great day and a great week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, bloggers! What's up? Anything going on where you are? We got a lot of snow this weekend. Would you like some of it? Let me know how much and I'll send it express. We honestly don't need it all. But I am grateful that we're not dealing with the amount of snow that my fellow Canadians in Newfoundland have been dealing with. Last I saw in the news, they had gotten more than 76 centimetres (30 inches) in a single day! The armed forces were called in to assist the residents. A reminder that it could be worse.

Now let's get to the funny stuff, shall we? Have a good chuckle and a great day ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging pals! How are you doing? How was your weekend? What are you up to? We had a very quiet weekend. The weather has not been great and there has been little to no motivation because of that to travel very far. I'll be as pleased as can be when January and February come to an end.

As most of you may  have noticed, my blogging pace has been slow (for a long time). I don't plan to quit because I enjoy visiting your sites and keeping up to date with what goes on with you all, but I'm busy with other things and just don't have the time to add more content to my own. At some point that may change but for now, I will just concentrate on making you laugh every Monday.

And speaking of laughing, I hope the content below accomplishes that. Have a wonderful day ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, everyone! And happy 2020. I hope you all have a wonderful year ahead. How were the holidays? What are you looking forward to this year? Our holidays were mostly quiet, especially New Year's eve. The weather was pretty nasty, so we stayed home. Did I mention that we had my family over for Christmas? My brother and his wife, and my two daughters and their boyfriends came over on the 26th, and we had a lovely time together.

Two days later, my younger daughter and her boyfriend left for a road trip in the US. They flew in and then rented a sleeper van to tour specific areas in four states: Utah, Arizona, California and Nevada. I believe they're still there and leaving in a day or two. Here is a photo of how the happy couple brought in 2020:

This week they'll be flying from their last stop in the US to Alberta where they'll join Ian's family  to celebrate his grandmother's 100th birthday! For such a young age, these two have already traveled more than most people will their entire lives. Beautiful.

Okay, I've rambled (bragged) enough. Let's get to the funny stuff, which is why you're here! Enjoy the humour and have an amazing day ahead.

(By the way, you may have noticed that comment moderation is on. I had no choice but to do that. I checked my email one day to find that I had over 800 comments on my blog. All spam! I'll have to monitor it for now until that nuisance stops.)
