Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging friends! We are enjoying spring-like weather here today and I couldn't be happier, especially since it's the last week of February. Next stop...spring! YAY!!! I shouldn't really complain because this was not a heavy winter; certainly not as bad as many other years before it. But still...I'm a springtime girl and very excited that my favourite season is just around the corner.

You know what we're watching now on Netflix? Lucifer. Is anyone watching it? Or has anyone seen it? It took a long time to even consider whether we'd give it a try. I had seen the trailer and it didn't interest me all that much. But we watched an episode or two just out of curiosity and decided it's not bad. Certainly not the best series we've seen so far, and some of the actors could do with some acting lessons, but mostly enjoyable. Or enjoyable enough. We also watched The Two Popes a few days ago, which turned out to be an even better movie than I hoped for. But I shouldn't be surprised since Anthony Hopkins is in it. He's such a good actor. Oh, and we also watched the movie Marriage Story, which was pretty good, too.

Last Monday I never got around to creating a post. It was a holiday here in Ontario, so we decided to take a day trip to our hometown in Montreal and spend the day there instead. I really enjoy time in the big city. So much to see and do. And just a few days ago, we dropped off a carload of donations at a local non-profit. I hope to put together another carload by summer. The less stuff in the house, the happier I am!

And that's that. What are you all up to? Share below. And enjoy the funny stuff!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, friends! How are you? What's going on? Nothing much on our end. Lots of snow, snow, snow around here. We are up to our eyeballs in it. Can't wait till spring!

You know what movie we watched a few days ago that I've been meaning to watch for many, many years? Fried Green Tomatoes.  It goes way back to 1991 but for some reason I never got around to it. It's available on Netflix, so we gave it a go. And really enjoyed it! I can't believe I waited this long.

We also watched El Camino; the epilogue to the television series Breaking Bad. I was hesitant about it but since the most amazing man in the world was cool about Fried Green Tomatoes (my choice), I agreed to this (his choice). It's a give and take, right? Anyhow, I was surprised just how much I liked it.

I mentioned we were wrapping up Grace and Frankie, which we did. We had fun it but we were ready for something new. We tried Supergirl, but after watching three episodes, we decided...um...no. It felt like torture sitting through it. Off we went to The Kaminsky Method. It looks very promising but it's been put on hold because season 4 of Better Call Saul became available! And that's where we're at now.

What are you watching or reading these days? And while you think about that, I'll post the funny stuff below. Give and take, right? Enjoy! And have a wonderful day ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy first Monday of February, my friends. Wishing you a wonderful month ahead! We are one step closer to spring...my favourite season of the year. Hopefully this month is not too bad.

What are you watching these days? Or reading? Or working on? We're still zipping through Grace and Frankie on Netflix. We're way into season 5 and then there's only one more season to go, so it won't be long before we wrap this up. I read that there's supposed to be a 7th and final season, but I don't know when that will be. We'll be searching for something else to watch very soon. Any suggestions?

I'm also enjoying The Reckoning by John Grisham. So far it's a very intriguing story. I'm curious to see what happens. If only I could stay awake long enough each night to get through more than a few pages! I seem to fall asleep very quickly these days. Are you reading anything interesting?

Anyhow, enough blah, blah, blah. Let's get to the funny stuff. Enjoy...and have an amazing day ahead!
