Happy first Monday of February, my friends. Wishing you a wonderful month ahead! We are one step closer to spring...my favourite season of the year. Hopefully this month is not too bad.
What are you watching these days? Or reading? Or working on? We're still zipping through Grace and Frankie on Netflix. We're way into season 5 and then there's only one more season to go, so it won't be long before we wrap this up. I read that there's supposed to be a 7th and final season, but I don't know when that will be. We'll be searching for something else to watch very soon. Any suggestions?
I'm also enjoying The Reckoning by John Grisham. So far it's a very intriguing story. I'm curious to see what happens. If only I could stay awake long enough each night to get through more than a few pages! I seem to fall asleep very quickly these days. Are you reading anything interesting?
Anyhow, enough blah, blah, blah. Let's get to the funny stuff. Enjoy...and have an amazing day ahead!
We watched the Superbowl last night, great game and half time show! Thanks for the laughs!

DeleteHa ha, I'm stealing that last one!
ReplyDeleteSteal away, Debra!
DeleteA soup kitchen isn't the best place for Rapunzel to earn her keep.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Martha.
I agree, Robyn. Hope you are well!
DeleteYes, that's exactly what the ol' nose feels like during a cold.
ReplyDeleteLOL at Godzilla and the Legos!
Currently finishing the third and final volume of Simon Schama's A History of Britain. Well, I guess I'll soon need to decide what to read next.....
Those Legos can be pretty nasty! I've experienced that.
DeleteI love the Lego cartoon! I watched a docuseries on Netflix: The Family. I thought it was fascinating. Among other books, I'm reading Becoming by Michelle Obama. I love it.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I haven't heard of that one on Netflix. I'll look it up and see what it's about.
DeleteOh, I want to read that book by Michelle Obama! I adore that woman.
I can't stand a clogged nose.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both!
DeleteWell....we just got Netflix (I know.....must be the LAST ones on earth!!). Have watched all of The Crown.....loved it. Gave Frankie and Grace a go....it didn't haul us in to my surprise because I love Fonda and Tomlin.
ReplyDeleteThe Two Popes was really good. Now we are hooked on Abstract: The Art of Design.
Enjoyed ALL toons today! Can relate to a few of them.
Have a great week, Martha.
We've only been members for a couple of years, so we must be the second to last to join :)
DeleteWe really enjoyed The Crown. I'm looking forward to the next season. And the Two Popes is on our list. We'll get to it soon.
I find that Netflix is a great deal. Lots of great choices at an affordable price!
Not watching too much TV these days. I just finished the book "What you Take in a Fire." It was kind of cute; predictable :) Funny cartoons! Loved the cupid one!
ReplyDeletebetty
I'm glad you enjoyed, Betty!
DeleteLoved Cupid and Catwoman. They do love there boxes!
ReplyDeleteThey sure do! Mine also love bags.
DeleteFebruary already!
ReplyDeleteThe weeks go by so quickly.
All good chuckles - my favourite is Catwoman :)
Have a great week Martha.
All the best Jan
Time just zips right by, Jan! Before you know it, spring will be here.
DeleteThe cat does not attack the hamster!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? At least in this photo :)
DeleteHaha the lego one cracked me up. Thanks for the laughs as usual!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure!
DeleteIf I had Netflix , I would watch The Marvelous Ms. Maizel. We just started watching Stumptown, it is on one of the major networks, and we love it. The Lego factory took me a second to get- very funny. I have stepped on many a Lego :) Have a great weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteStepping on Legos is not something you'll soon forget! Hope you've had a good week xo
Deletelove the cartoons. For light hearted comedy i was surprised how much I have enjoyed "American Housewife" on Hulu - a young mom with kids who refuses to fit in to the superficiality of her neighbors in an upscale neighborhood where they are just renting. It's adorable actually. i love it.
ReplyDeleteIt surprises sometimes what we enjoy. For me a lot of it comes down to good acting. If the acting is bad, I just can't do it.
DeleteOMG look at Rapunzel now lol...I guess she never met Prince Charming after all and became an embittered fast food clerk hee hee...It took me a minute to understand the Lego one and then I totally giggled!
ReplyDeleteWe're in a blizzard!!! WHERE ARE YOU SPRING??? I don't have much time for tv lately...funny, I say tv, but I don't own a television! We usually watch things like Mountain Men, Moonshiners...oh and Schitt's Creek is hilarious. If you were an SCTV fan Martha, you'll love that humour. I don't know if you can find it on Netflix or not though.
We LOVED Schitt's Creek. What a hilarious show. It is on Netflix; that's where we discovered it. You can't go wrong with Eugene Levy. He is an amazing actor. And so funny. We discovered that his son is, too! What a treat that show was.
DeleteHis son is so funny. I saw him on a Canadian baking show too. That family has a great sense of humour! I think his daughter was in it too, didn't she play the waitress? When we move to our new place, we're going to start watching those from the beginning again, we have them all downloaded and ready to go! Actually we didn't see the last season, too bad it's the last in the series!!
DeleteYes, his daughter played the waitress! I can just imagine how much fun they had with their dad when they were kids. He must've been a hoot. We haven't seen the last season yet. It's not on Netflix yet. But as soon as it's on, we are there!
Deletei am actually happy for you dear Martha :))) i know you love and wait for spring and i wish you have it asap:) here our temps rising from 10 to 20 plus .still we are enjoying cooler days as 50 plus is hardly two month away :(
ReplyDeletehaha first one made me laugh and last one oh poor child
blessings and love !
Indeed! I can't wait till spring. I'll be so happy when it's finally here.
DeleteI love hamsters they are so cute so that picture made me laugh. That's exactly how my nose feels during a cold.
ReplyDeleteI think hamsters are really cute. But I can't imagine my cats living with one in peace like that!
