Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging friends! It's been a while, hasn't it? I don't have much to write about these days, so I visit your sites instead of posting on my own. But I'm popping in today to say hi and make you smile. Our routine hasn't changed all that much over here. We tend to the outdoors, take walks every chance we get, and basically go about our day as best as we can under the circumstances. A lot of businesses have opened up around here and the restaurants have set up outdoor patios, but the most amazing man in the world and I are taking things slowly. We're in no rush for anything. In addition to taking walks with the most amazing man in the world in the evenings, I've also incorporated walks in the early morning (6 AM!) with a friend of mine a couple of times a week. Or when weather permits. This is the friend that I do social-distancing cycling with. It's been a great way to get outdoors and socialize to the best of our ability. Saturday we finally drove up to Ottawa to see my younger daughter and her boyfriend. We had to socially distance, so I couldn't hug or kiss either one, but just seeing them after so much time was sheer joy!

And that's all my news for now. What's up with you? Share in the comments below. And enjoy the funny images! Have a good one, everyone.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, blogging friends! How is everyone? What's new with you? Did you have a nice week and weekend? Mine was quite busy. The most amazing man in the world and I have been taking care of stuff around the house and also finding time to go for long walks. And yesterday morning, I met up with a friend to do some biking. Was that ever fun! We rode side by side on one of the nature trails and not only enjoyed the scenery but also each other's company. We'll definitely be doing this again.

Saturday I stopped by one of the garden centers, a trip that I started off excited about only to end up disappointed once I got there. The selection was poor, the prices were too high and the plants were dying of thirst. I did manage to find one perennial worth salvaging and brought the poor thing home. It will be well-loved in my garden.

Thank you for all your supportive comments last week. You all rock!

Now here are a few images to make you smile. Enjoy, and have beautiful day.

Chuckles and Chortles

Hi, blogging pals! Happy June to all of you. Sorry I've been absent for this long. I've been dealing with a shitstorm over here with what should have been a trusted family member, and because it took me totally by surprise, I've been struggling to process it. I will say that the most amazing man in the world is also the most amazingly supportive. Now, let's leave it at that and move on. Because you all have your own problems to worry about.

How is everyone doing? What are you up to these days? We've done some outdoor work, some gardening and lots of indoor stuff. And walking. We always try to get out and walk. We've got a list of chores to complete, one of them being to paint our balcony. And because the gardening centres have opened up, we're planning to visit and pick up some plants, soil and whatever else is needed. In other words, we're trying to keep busy.

On Netflix, Blacklist is one of the series we're watching and I have to say that James Spader is a really good actor. We've also started Space Force and Dark, but I don't have an opinion yet since we're not far enough along.

I can't think of anything else, so let's get to the reason you're really here: the funny stuff! Enjoy and have a wonderful day.
