Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging friends! What's up with everyone? I really don't have anything new to report on our end. It's been very quiet. But at least the weather is pleasant. Last night the most amazing man in the world and I went for a lengthy walk. With freshly fallen snow from earlier that day together with mild weather, it was quite magical outdoors. We really enjoyed the crisp air and the leisurely stroll.

If you have Netflix, I HIGHLY recommend that you watch The Surgeon's Cut. It's a documentary-style series about four very talented and groundbreaking surgeons. It is amazing!

And now, let's get to the funny stuff, shall we? I hope they make you smile and I also hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

  1. The zombie one made me laugh! Merry Christmas to you, Martha. I'm pretty sure the announcement today will be a province-wide lock down, so you won't be alone being the only ones alone at Christmas. -Jenn

    1. Yup, a province-wide lock down! I'm okay with it. Hopefully our COVID numbers don't explode in January.
      Merry Christmas!

  2. Martha, in your comment you show good critical thinking skills. Conspiracy theories are only for the dull and senseless. Thanks for the laughs. I especially enjoyed the social distance zapper, and the secret Santa cartoon. Hope the two of you have a Merry Christmas.

  4. Elfie stick is great. The poor elf has been taking a beating this year in memes.

  5. We'll be staying at home too. Maybe just visit Lynette's brother and mother. She's 97.

  6. The Joe Schoes don't have a high school education so their reading and judgement ability is suspect. As for us Albertans. The no maskers really know how to get attention and news outlets help them along.

    1. I agree. The news outlets are giving them far too much attention.

  8. You always make me smile, Martha. So glad you could have a nice walk together in the snow. I don't understand people who think they have the right to refuse to wear a mask. Their rights end when they endanger others. I should have had that zapper when we went grocery shopping last night.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. I don't understand either, Janie, but I do believe that the businesses shouldn't allow these individuals to roam around the stores. They can order online or do curb side pickup. They have no right to endanger others.

  9. You know what I think about those 'conspiracy theorist'? They all are arrested in their emotional development. They are still children and do not like being told what to do! The end.
Loved all the cartoons today! But I didn't get the secret Santa one. I think I am getting old!! lol
Have a great week, Martha. We will check out that series on Netflix.

    1. HAHA! I like your thinking, Jim. Yes, they do seem to be behaving like children.

For the Secret Santa: If you look at the lower right of the image, you'll see a cat. So if someone received the dead mouse, it would definitely be coming from the cat. No secret there!

  12. Hey Martha! What's wrong with people these days? Stupid? Crazy? Both? Anyway, love the cartoons. I like the look on cat's face with the mouse as a present that he was giving.

  13. Stupidity has run rampant in this country. I could really use that people zapper at the post office and grocery store! We are only going out once a week at most for essentials. Your winter walk sounds lovely! Today we have strange warm weather which is supposed to bring us a white Christmas. Your cartoons always bring a smile! Have a wonderful Christmas!

  16. Thanks for the laughs, Martha, but especially the comment about observing public health rules for our mutual benefit. I can't understand why some people take such risks and are cavalier about health of everyone around them. I am very grateful that vaccines are beginning to reach people. I am hopeful I'll have one within a month.

    1. I can't understand it either, Louise, but I am finding that even people I know are acting selfishly. I hope you get the vaccine and start feeling safer. We're probably not going to receive ours until later summer or early fall. I estimate it'll be around that time.
