Where The Heck Is She?

Hello, amazing blogging pals! I have once again vanished. I had planned to be back by now but I’m once again in the abyss of dysfunctionality. Do you remember this story of deception? It was very painful, but eventually I managed to begin healing and moving forward. What else was there to do? Eventually you have to accept and let go. And just when I started feeling whole, it’s time to settle my mother’s estate. Things are already off to a stressful start even though they shouldn’t be. This process shouldn't be as complicated as it's turning out to be. I have this sinking feeling that this story is even worse than I originally thought. I’m hoping I’m wrong, but when trust is compromised, that’s where your mind goes. You’re literally always watching your back. To top it all off, there is no liquidator/executor, which makes things even more stressful. That’s a looooong story.

Anyhow, I just wanted to share a post and let you know that I’m alive and well. And that I miss you all very much. I will definitely be back to blogging at some point but I just don’t know when. This business with the estate is exhausting and nerve-wracking, but I nonetheless need to commit to it, focus on handling it responsibly and simply hope for the best. I'll be grateful when this is all over and I can just go on with my life. That's all for now...

Sending you all love! I hope to see you soon.

Time For A Break!

Happy August, blogging pals. I hope you're all doing well. We're getting ready to tackle some work  outdoors for our home, so I'm going to take a few weeks off and get busy. Have an amazing rest of the month, and be well and happy. I will see you in September.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, friends! How are you all doing? What's up in your area? We are experiencing heat, humidity and a lot of heavy rainfalls. We've even had hail a few times. The weather this summer has been weird and sometimes nasty. In addition to all the above, wildfires in northern Ontario have affected air quality here. Ah, climate change... I can't imagine what it'll be like years from now on this planet.

So...enough of that. Wednesday I spent the day with my daughter in my hometown. I drove over in the morning and picked her up from her place. We went for an early lunch, visited the bookstore and then had some coffee and dessert. I hadn't seen her for ages and you can imagine how thrilled I was to spend that time with her. I went home exhausted from all that socializing, something I'm not used to, but it was a good type of exhaustion!

Aside from that, all else remains the same. The most amazing man in the world and I have work to do outside but we're waiting for the heat and humidity to goooo awaaaaay. We're keeping busy in other ways and biding our time until we can finally get out there.

No, what's up with you? Share in the comments and enjoy all the funny stuff! Have a wonderful week ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, everyone! I'm back. I missed last week's post. The week got away from me and I just never got around to it. But here I am to make you all smile again! What would you do without me?

How are you all doing. What are you up to? What's going on in your part of the world? Pretty quiet on our end, which I'm grateful for. We've been watching the series Atypical for the past little while and we're really enjoying it. Has anyone seen it? Share you news in the comments and tell me what's happening on your end.

Nothing else to report at this time, so I'll get right to the funny stuff. Enjoy, blogging pals, and have a wonderful week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, friends! How are you all doing? How was your weekend? What are you up to these days? Not much to add on my end. The week just flew by and so did the weekend. We are in stage two of re-opening and my hometown is much further along. Very soon I'll be contacting loved ones that I haven't seen in the longest time and book dates to get together. I can't wait to see them!

In entertainment, we are presently watching Black Earth Rising on Netflix. It's a limited series that is fictional but it does touch upon real events of the Rwandan genocide. It's quite well done. And in books, I keep bouncing around from one to another. I can't seem to settle down with one and totally immerse myself. I've read so many books throughout my life that it's difficult to find something that truly captures my attention. Anyone else have this problem? Any book recommendations?

Okay, let's get to what you're really here for...to laugh! Enjoy the images below and have a wonderful week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday Tuesday, my blogging friends. How is everyone? And what have you been up to? I hope everyone is keeping well and feeling good. Saturday we drove up to Ottawa to see my daughter and her boyfriend. We had such a great time! I'm looking forward to more get-togethers with them and with many other people over the summer.

Not much else has been going on. I've planted some new perennials in the garden and also a few vegetables, which the kids sent me home with on Saturday. You should see their garden! They are growing a lot of veggies and herbs and doing an amazing job of it.

And that's all on my end. What's up with you? Share below and enjoy the funny stuff! Have a wonderful week ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday Tuesday, blogging pals! Yesterday got away from me, so here I am one day later with all the funny stuff. Better late than never, right?

What's going on? What are you all up to? What are you reading? What are you watching? Have you been getting out? We've done some work outdoors but it's otherwise been pretty quiet. One show that we've been enjoying on Netflix these days is "Travelers". It's about consciousness being sent back through time into people of this century to try and change the path of humanity. These "travelers" come from hundreds of years ahead and they are survivors of a bleak future. Very interesting story and the show is well done.

In happy news, the most amazing man in the world and I will be getting together with my daughter and her boyfriend up in Ottawa this coming weekend, which is about an hour from here. Not sure whether it'll be Saturday or Sunday yet. We'll confirm later this week. It's been a very long time since we saw them and I'm very excited about that!!!

Well...I have nothing else to add right now. What do you say we laugh, hmm? Let's do it! Enjoy and have an amazing rest of the week.

Chuckles and Chortles

And here we are again! Another week, another round of funny stuff. I do enjoy making you all smile because we certainly need humour in our life. So... What's up, everyone? Same old, same old here. Stage one of re-opening started on Friday and some restrictions were lifted. We can now visit shops that were closed for weeks and enjoy outdoor dining. And we can get together outside in small groups, which is nice. I'm looking forward to meeting up with people I haven't seen in what seems like forever and going out to eat at some point.

Not much else to say. We've had some really hot days and we've tried to squeeze in walks during periods that are bearable. I do not enjoy being outdoors when it's extremely hot and humid. Drives me batty. We haven't been watching anything really exciting on Netflix but I haven't been reading anything that interesting. How about you?

That's it for now. Let's laugh, shall we? Enjoy and have a wonderful week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, everyone! And happy June. I'm a week late wishing you that but I only post once a week, soooo... Anyhow, have a wonderful month ahead.

How are you doing? What are you up to these days? Are you reading anything? Watching something interesting? Spending time outdoors? Share in the comments below. Not much to add from our end. Things are pretty much the same. Slight changes in restrictions around here and waiting for more soon. One of the things I'm really looking forward to - aside from seeing my kids, which is obvious - is dining out! I can't wait to sit down at a restaurant and be served. We haven't done that in forever. I'm also looking forward to meeting up with friends that I haven't seen in what feels like a lifetime. Things are moving along and they will get better. Hopefully we've learned from this whole experience and we will be kinder to our planet and to one another.

Okay, enough of that. Let's laugh, shall we? Enjoy all the funny stuff and have an amazing week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, friends! It's the last day of May. Can you believe it? I don't know where the month went. We spent the weekend in the garden doing the work that should have been done last week. That's because our mulch and top soil delivery didn't arrive until this past Friday. Ah well, that was out of our control. Anyhoo... We weeded and freshened up soil and topped everything up with mulch. Our dozens of cedars surrounding our property are pleased with us, I'm sure. Our bodies, not so much. We are totally exhausted. I have aches and pains in places I didn't think possible. Gardening is enjoyable but it's also very hard work. Today I plan to do absolutely nothing. I'm going to be like my cats and spend the majority of my time lazying around the house. I've earned it!

In entertainment news, we finished Marco Polo and started watching the latest episodes of Lucifer and The Kominsky Method on Netflix. A little comedy is in order after watching all the very serious and violent historical dramas we immersed ourselves in for weeks. I certainly need a break from that type of viewing. We're still in lockdown but restrictions will slowly ease up starting this week. We'll see how all that goes. What are you all up to these days? What's going on where you are? Share in the comments below!

Time for the funny stuff. I hope you smile and I hope you all have a wonderful week!
