Here we are again, blogging friends! How is everyone doing? What are you up to these days? Not much on our end. We're still on lockdown, which has been much easier the past few days with all the cold and snow that has come our way. I'm honestly happy to be home, cozy and comfortable, although I'm looking forward to milder weather for some lengthy walks. This past week we've been enjoying the series "Fargo" on Netflix. Anyone watching (or watched) this? It's not too bad. Far better than I expected.
Well now... I was going to ask if you've run across the Bernie Sanders memes. I'm sure most of you have. I am loving them! They are a lot of fun, and you couldn't have chosen a nicer person for this. I ran across the image below the day before and I had to share it. It had me in stitches! My Canadian friends (the older ones like me) will appreciate and probably get a kick out of it.
My rant this week comes in the form of an image, which pretty much summarizes how I feel:
Now let's get to the funny stuff, so we can all get on with our lives! Happy Monday and happy new week. Enjoy!
Thanks for the laughs, Martha. The only word on that sign I wonder about is "witchier". All the rest are empirically verifiable trends, so you are right on the money. Just think, Agent Orange is gone and being a bigoted racist is no longer in fashion. The "Lowest plane of consciousness" does describe some days ;-)
ReplyDelete"Just think, Agent Orange is gone and being a bigoted racist is no longer in fashion." HAHA! Yes, seems that being a bigoted racist is no longer in fashion. :) Let's hope it stays that way.
DeleteAll your LOLs are great, as usual, and I love seeing Bernie at the Friendly Giant's place!
ReplyDeleteHe is a perfect choice at the Friendly Giant's place!
DeleteI saw they have a Bernie Sanders bobblehead now too. :) Thanks for all the funnies- the cats ones are always my favorite. :) Have a nice week. XO
ReplyDeleteA booblehead! HAHA So fitting!
DeleteThanks for the laughs Martha, this Bernie thing is so fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed!
DeleteBernie Sanders had me laugh right out loud. Good one.
ReplyDeleteHe's all over the internet!
DeleteKids licking. They don't even think about it. They get this blank stare and lick away!
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Yes, that's what they do!
DeleteLove the sign! Truth! Thanks for more funnies. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed!
DeleteSigh. I always wanted that little rocking chair! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteRight? I did, too!
DeleteOh that sign!
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteHey, Friendly!! I LOVED that show and I wasn't a child either. All my friends tuned into it. Looking back now I realize how meditative it was.
ReplyDeleteYour 'rant' is perfect! Sums up so much that needs to be addressed right now.
Don't touch anything!! lol
Have a great week, Martha.
It was certainly my favourite show. I watched it regularly and never missed an episode!
DeleteHope you've enjoyed a great week, Jim.
It seems Bernie is everywhere at the moment :)
ReplyDeleteHope your week is going well, even though we are not doing anything too exciting the days seem to pass by quite quickly.
All the best Jan
So true, Jan. The days do pass quickly despite it all!
DeleteHow did I not comment? What's wrong with me? I love the cat reminding himself not to jump into the coffin. Humpty is funny, too. Oh, Ikea.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Absolutely NOTHING is wrong with you, Janie. We love you just the way you are. :)
Deletewe have watched the Forgo but only first season and liked it quite a lot
ReplyDeletehow nice you are enjoying being at home ,i think there are times when we learn to keep balance between outdoor and indoor ,i too love more being at home now
i enjoyed the funnies :)
have blessed days ahead !
This time of year, I especially enjoy being home. It's cold out, so it's not appealing!
DeleteI love the "Bernies" too. The cartoons brighten my day. We get our 1st COVID shots next week. I love being home but I want to see my great grandkids in person!
ReplyDeleteLucky you, Nancy! We probably won't be getting to the vaccines until later this year. But that's okay. We'll be patient.
DeleteHAHAHAH my favorite one is the cat fighting the urge to jump into the casket - ... I'm amazed at the things beanie tries to squeeze into. Fargo - I loved the first episode. first season. I believe I had trouble getting into the second season, and now the third one I haven't tried. Bernie memes are so funny!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that the third season of Fargo was my least favourite. Not as good as the others. Those Bernie memes are a lot of fun!
DeleteOh great funnies Martha!!! I watched the first 2 tv series of Fargo and loved them. I still have the third one to watch (is there a 4th??) I'm so out of touch! I too thought they were great, more than I expected after such an amazing movie! :)
ReplyDeleteWe finished the Fargo series and I'm looking forward to more. I do believe there's a 4th season but it's not available yet on Netflix, so we could only watch up to the 3rd season.
DeleteI did love being at home, but now I've had enough.:D I'd just love to be able to have a meal out at a restaurant with my family. Not much to ask really.
ReplyDeleteThose mittens are the fashion statement of the year. :D
I hear you! I miss a lot of things, especially spending time with my kids and enjoying the company of friends. I'm hoping that the later part of this year will be much different.
DeleteWould an angel recommend the Earth to a friend?
ReplyDeleteNature for sure but not the people.
John, I couldn't agree with you more!
DeleteOMG, I miss Friendly, Rusty, and Jerome! Thanks for the memory, and Bernie is dressed for that chilly castle. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI used to love that show, Louise! It was really special.
DeleteRats! I thought I had posted a comment for this. Maybe I wrote it and got distracted and it got wiped out. Sometimes I can be so ditsy. Anyway, I loved thinking of Friendly, Jerome, and Rusty again. I so loved them when I was a kid. I always thought the castle looked drafty, so Bernie visited appropriately dressed. I hope that you, George, and the girls are doing well, Martha! Thanks, as always, for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteLouise, you did post! I needed to approve the comment. I've had to turn on comment moderation because of stupid things being posted. Hope you are well, my friend! We're all okay. Just biding our time until spring!
DeleteThe state of Georgia is deeply afraid of changing demographics. The Republican state house is doing all that they can to prevent people from voting next year
