Happy new week, everyone! And happy June. I'm a week late wishing you that but I only post once a week, soooo... Anyhow, have a wonderful month ahead.
How are you doing? What are you up to these days? Are you reading anything? Watching something interesting? Spending time outdoors? Share in the comments below. Not much to add from our end. Things are pretty much the same. Slight changes in restrictions around here and waiting for more soon. One of the things I'm really looking forward to - aside from seeing my kids, which is obvious - is dining out! I can't wait to sit down at a restaurant and be served. We haven't done that in forever. I'm also looking forward to meeting up with friends that I haven't seen in what feels like a lifetime. Things are moving along and they will get better. Hopefully we've learned from this whole experience and we will be kinder to our planet and to one another.
Okay, enough of that. Let's laugh, shall we? Enjoy all the funny stuff and have an amazing week ahead!
I am just staying in to avoid the heat and humidity. Somehow my hubby manages to work in the garden. Great bunch of funnies, I always love the cat ones, but the geese in the police car are a hoot- or a honk, whatever they do.:) Have a wonderful week. XO
ReplyDeleteWe are dealing with heat and humidity now, as well, and I'm staying indoors, too. It don't really like this type of weather, although I would choose it over winter. Your hubby is brave! I get aggravated in the garden when it's too warm. I hope you've been enjoying a wonderful weekend. xo
DeleteI always look forward to your blog and the funnies to lighten the day.
ReplyDeleteIt's very hot now in CT,USA so I've been knitting and watching a lot of French Open tennis.
Currently reading the last book by Donna Leon, one of my favorite authors.
Enjoy seeing your family, friends and dining out.
Thanks, Cheryl! I'm so pleased my posts make you smile. We're dealing with heat here, as well. Not my favourite weather, for sure. I hope your weekend has gone well!
DeleteThe cat ones are my faves of course!! Hope you're able to get out soon, we just had dinner with friends (at their home), first time in a year and a half!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds wonderful! I hope to be enjoying the same gathering as soon as possible. I've really missed that.
DeleteAll the restrictions here pretty much gone. I am fully vaccinated and have been for quite some time now. Most people aren’t wearing their mask anymore since the CDC no longer recommended it.
ReplyDeleteSounds great, Adam! We're not quite there yet but we're heading in that direction. I'm looking forward to it.
DeleteHi Martha! Oh, yes, to be served and not have to make it myself!! I'm so very confused about lockdown being over, but not being over. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Jenn! I'm confused about the whole thing, too.
DeleteHahahahahaha, I laughed at all of these, Martha, but especially the "Thor typo" one!
ReplyDeleteRight? Cats...and their arrogance! HAHA
DeleteLove the ducks in the cop car! ha ha!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed!
DeleteThe Rule of Four, Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason was highly recommended by Kay at Musings. Thanks for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure, Christine!
DeleteThank you for the laughs today, Martha. The Cupcake cat poster and conversation is especially funny.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed!
DeleteI need a smile today, thanks.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for some energy.
You're welcome, John. I hoped it helped.
DeleteMany thanks for the Happy June wishes ... the same to you.
ReplyDeleteWe've had some nice sunny days recently, and the flowers are blooming well, everything is looking quite colourful ... it's a very nice time of year.
Many thanks for the laughs.
Wishing you a good week.
All the best Jan
Always a pleasure, Jan! I just love this time of year with all its beautiful colours.
Deletehahah ..I'll be that skeleton some day with Beanie on my legs or lap. What am I watching...I've been kind of staying most on ACorn TV lately - i am enjoying the murder investigations the way they present them. I like the character development in them. Then I am watching Keeping Faith at HBO MAx - i like that also. I finished "Married" awhile back and I have so so so many things on my watchlists. Problem is I only spend about 2 to 3 hours total in a day watching TV so it will be a long time before I get caught up. Usually part of that time is spent dozing off and waking up and thinking Oh Sh*t - i gotta go back to where I lost my focus.
ReplyDeleteSandy, if I lie die on the couch, I am guaranteed to doze off! LOL So I always sit up when we're watching something. Keeps me alert...at least most of the time. Like you, I've got a lot of things waiting to be watched but we don't spend too much time with the TV, so the list just keeps growing!
DeleteLOL to the British Shorthair!! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteWe are in the garden as much as the weather permits.....both have a resurgence of energy......must be covid based.
Finishing up Vikings on the History channel......all the good ones die!!!
Have a great week Martha and I hope you see your kids soon.
Anyone who requests those purebreds in the way should be treated in that manner! LOL It has gotten too hot for us to be out in the garden now, so we're trying to find other ways to keep busy. Thankfully, some restrictions have lifted and we'll be able to visit shops or go out to eat (just patio for now). And I should be seeing one of my daughters very soon, so that is exciting! Hope you'd have a wonderful weekend so far, Jim!
DeleteHaha-> "I'll start later." Smart lady.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chortles and chuckles, dear Martha.
Be well. The world's slowly opening back up.
You're welcome, Robyn! Hope you are doing well. It is exciting to see the world opening up again. I'm so happy about that.
DeleteTHOR lol...very cute! Nice to see your post Martha! What's been going on with me? Just living and breathing lol...trying hard to breathe deeply every day. Alex and I are working hard on the property, getting rid of dead wood, trimming trees of dead branches, replanting saplings, chopping wood etc etc etc...it's actually quite exhausting but it's SO REWARDING!!! I would love to have someone serve me dinner, actually I said that yesterday and Alex served me a delicious grilled cheese sandwich. It felt nice to be catered to! :)
ReplyDeleteRain, if I had a lot of money, I swear I'd hire a chef to do all my cooking. I would LOVE that. I could just imagine all the wonderful meals that would be prepared. I've been cooking since I was a young adult and I'm honestly a little burned out. Sounds like you two are really busy. Your space will look amazing when it's all done. All that hard work will indeed pay off in the end. Yes, being catered to is the best! Hey, we deserve it. :) I returned to blogging in April. I missed everyone too much to stay away any longer. I'm happy to be back!
DeleteI laughed so hard, have a good week!
