And here we are again! Another week, another round of funny stuff. I do enjoy making you all smile because we certainly need humour in our life. So... What's up, everyone? Same old, same old here. Stage one of re-opening started on Friday and some restrictions were lifted. We can now visit shops that were closed for weeks and enjoy outdoor dining. And we can get together outside in small groups, which is nice. I'm looking forward to meeting up with people I haven't seen in what seems like forever and going out to eat at some point.
Not much else to say. We've had some really hot days and we've tried to squeeze in walks during periods that are bearable. I do not enjoy being outdoors when it's extremely hot and humid. Drives me batty. We haven't been watching anything really exciting on Netflix but I haven't been reading anything that interesting. How about you?
That's it for now. Let's laugh, shall we? Enjoy and have a wonderful week ahead!
Martha, thank you again for the Monday laughs. There is nothing wrong with chocolate cake for breakfast. At least it works for me. Also, thank you for your recent comments on my blog. Always like to know what you are thinking.
ReplyDeleteNo need to thank me. I really enjoy visiting your blog!
DeleteThanks for the laughs Martha! Happy Monday.
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure, Christine!
DeleteNow that's MY kind of omelette, LOL! Also love the doll house and two priests. Here in Alberta, we can now dine inside restaurants at 30% capacity. We're going with friends next week to eat at our fave fish 'n chips place -- first time since March 2020! Am ridiculously excited at the prospect.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine the excitement! I'm so looking forward to doing that with friends in the next few weeks. I'm counting the moments!
Deletehahaha, the woman asking what choices for drinks on the plane - yes or no...lol. all of them are good.
ReplyDeleteWe are entering a heat wave today ...only about 85 to 90 here probably for the next few days..probably higher by wednesday. Down below - our deserts can reach 110, that's high deserts, low deserts, 120. ughhhh....where i use to live could be 110 or so. I have Acorn TV now which I love - several good ones, The Drowning, Blood, can't think of the other one. i love British detective, investigative stories. Keeping Faith on HBO max has been a favorite lately.
It's been pretty warm around here but, amazingly enough, the nights are much cooler, which is great. We don't have HBO, although it would be nice. It seems to have a lot of good shows on it.
DeleteThe Chocolate Omlette is my favorite. Off to make a keto chocolate cake right now.........
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun way to spend time. Hope it turned out great!
DeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteThat omelette does look delicious :)
Have a good week.
All the best Jan
I hope you had a great week and are enjoying a lovely weekend!
DeleteEverything is funny, but I especially like the cat support group. Nothing going on here, except The Lake Junebug Resort & Rumpus Room is open for the summer. I'm watching The Gilmore Girls on Netflix. I've watched the entire series at least four times and haven't tired of it yet.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I have a feeling the Lake Junebug Resort & Rumpus Room will be fully booked for the season. :)
DeleteI've never watched The Gilmore Girls. I'm going to have to check it out!
Great bunch of funnies- especially the clingy cats. :) We have been binge watching Star Trek Discovery and Picard. I am reading a good book all about NYC. Have a wonderful week. XO
ReplyDeleteSounds great. I should think about watching Star Trek; it'll be totally different than what we've been enjoying. I hope you've had a lovely weekend. xo
DeleteGreat selection, Martha! I especially liked the last one. Our weather has cooled off here, so maybe it will be similar for you. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteWe cooled off, Jenn, and now it's hot again! :)
DeleteI used to work with a gal that loved to pop bubble wrap. One year for her birthday I gave her a big box of bubble wrap. The other people in our group couldn't figure out why there was no gift in the box. When she looked in the box you could see the lightbulb come on right away. There was a big grin on her face.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and unique gift! I can just imagine her surprise - and how pleased she was.
Delete"What are my options?" LOL
ReplyDeleteGoing to try that omlette out tomorrow!!Gardening and more gardening......SO much had to been because of neglect (tsk tsk). I know what you mean about bearable days.....I try to get out very early on those days.
Have a good week, Martha.
It's a never-ending job with gardening, Jim. But that's the price we pay for beautiful surroundings. Hope you had a great week.
Deletei am happy that restrictions are being lifted in your city dear Martha thankfully finally :)
ReplyDeletei can only imagine how people from your part of land where most part of life is spent outdoor dealt with such disturbing routine of life ,anyway i am glad world is gaining it's genuine face back :)

We are slowly returning to a fuller life, Baili. We still have a ways to go but I am hopeful that things will get better.
DeleteMy gosh but you have high heat! Our days don't get that hot, so I am thankful for that. Stay cool and hydrated!
LOL. wishing you a good week too!
ReplyDeleteI hope it was a good one for you!
DeleteI found you!!! And I'm glad i did, those jokes are so funny! Martha i still can'r figure out how to put the list of blogs I follow on my page - I was just over on Debra's site complaining about how difficult Blooger has become - might as well share my complaints with you too! Glad to be here! Francie she/her
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! Complain away, Francie! It was really changed over time and it can be quite frustrating at times. At least you're back here with us and we're happy about that!
DeleteI love the dollhouse one
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one!
DeleteHi Martha :) I can't remember if I saw this post or not but I love the funnies! The bubble wrap one made me giggle! :)
