Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday Tuesday, blogging pals! Yesterday got away from me, so here I am one day later with all the funny stuff. Better late than never, right?

What's going on? What are you all up to? What are you reading? What are you watching? Have you been getting out? We've done some work outdoors but it's otherwise been pretty quiet. One show that we've been enjoying on Netflix these days is "Travelers". It's about consciousness being sent back through time into people of this century to try and change the path of humanity. These "travelers" come from hundreds of years ahead and they are survivors of a bleak future. Very interesting story and the show is well done.

In happy news, the most amazing man in the world and I will be getting together with my daughter and her boyfriend up in Ottawa this coming weekend, which is about an hour from here. Not sure whether it'll be Saturday or Sunday yet. We'll confirm later this week. It's been a very long time since we saw them and I'm very excited about that!!!

Well...I have nothing else to add right now. What do you say we laugh, hmm? Let's do it! Enjoy and have an amazing rest of the week.

  4. Not much going on here in North Carolina. Working during the days and trying to get in some yard work and exercise before dark. Those are some cute comics. I did a little chuckle.

    1. I believe there are only three seasons. What a shame! We're almost done with the series and I thought it was very well done.

  7. Love the bookshelf assembly one! I can never understand the icons that are used in place of actual words. I don't know if that means I have too much imagination or not enough.

Thanks for the smiles, Martha, and it's great you're getting to visit with your daughter - enjoy!

  8. Thanks for the Monday laughs, Martha. Think we may have heard a version of Michelangelo's father before, but still funny. Also enjoyed the $50 toll fee joke.

    1. I think you'd enjoy that show. It's done well and it's not overly dramatic or even violent. We're wrapping it up soon and I wish there were more episodes! I didn't even know there's a reboot of Mad About you! I'm so behind on what's out there. I hope you've been enjoying a lovely weekend. xo

  12. They're all funny, but my favorite is Michelangelo's father. I'm reading a novel by Anne Tyler and watching The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu--not doing both at the same time, however.

    Love,

  21. Hello Martha !
I have meant to stop by and leave a comment many times .. I guess I am more of a lurker ? LOL
One of my most favorite scifi shows is Travelers ! I only wish they would make more seasons of it. I was disappointed when they didn't because it is one of the few that had such a great story line and actually made you think along with it. I get a laugh out of your cartoons ! Thanks for that .. thanks for stopping by too !
You have seen the Handmaid's Tale right ? .. they left me hanging with this season's finale darn it ;-)
Yup .. the bookshelf makes sense to me ! haha

    1. We just finished Travelers! And we're also disappointed that it was so short. Such a good series with really good acting. I haven't seen the Handmaid's Tale because it's not offered on Netflix. I hope one day it is.

And I'm a lurker, too, on your blog! LOL
