Happy Monday Tuesday, my blogging friends. How is everyone? And what have you been up to? I hope everyone is keeping well and feeling good. Saturday we drove up to Ottawa to see my daughter and her boyfriend. We had such a great time! I'm looking forward to more get-togethers with them and with many other people over the summer.
Not much else has been going on. I've planted some new perennials in the garden and also a few vegetables, which the kids sent me home with on Saturday. You should see their garden! They are growing a lot of veggies and herbs and doing an amazing job of it.
And that's all on my end. What's up with you? Share below and enjoy the funny stuff! Have a wonderful week ahead.
Those first 3 memes are absolutely right on, Martha! Let us know if you sprout the extra appendage you want after the second shot, LOL!
ReplyDeleteWill do, Debra! Fingers crossed. :)
DeleteCongrats on your 2nd shots! And thanks for the laughs. Great that you had a good time seeing your daughter and boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful, Christine! Longer overdue.
DeleteIf you do turn into a zombie and start devouring the brains of your enemies, don't forget to keep the skulls to drink from as well.
ReplyDeleteThose cats have got it made! Why can't I get somebody to take care of me like that?
Great news that your area is embracing vaccination. My state is a little over 50% vaccinated and it's getting hard to push it much higher because the Trumpy types are so resistant.
BAHAHAHA! I'll have to bear that in mind. I could use some new cups.
DeleteFrankly, I'm really surprised that my area turned out this way. I expected more resistance. But most people here have had their first vaccine and a large number their second!
Congrats on the vaccine! Isn't it a relief to get that needle in your arm? The computer chip implanted when I supposedly got the vaccine has given me all sorts of superpowers. I can make trump supporters disappear when they're charged with crimes! I love everything here, Martha, but especially the first three.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
It is a big relief! You got a computer chip? Lucky lady. I got Lay's BBQ chips. Bargain basement shot. :)
DeleteThat first one is right on point. I'm sure I'm alive today because of modern medicine.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both! Some of us could have died in childhood.
DeleteNot sure how I got my second shot in early April. In fat , I'm not sure how any of the vaccination program worked. I'm also not sure where we got all the crazies with wild theories about the vaccine.
ReplyDeleteThe wild theories are all over the place. I just ignore them. If people want to believe in that, that's fine. I'm just going to do my thing.
DeleteI am glad you got to see your daughter and that you were able to get your 2nd vaccine sooner than expected. We had the J& J and have no extra arms to report either. :) Great round of comics , I like the 911 one. Have a wonderful week. XO
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the arms. An extra arm would be really handy. I just got my second shot on Monday, so there's still time to grow another one! LOL Have a great week ahead! xo
DeleteHey friend! Remember me? Glad all is well with you!
ReplyDeleteOf course I remember you! So nice to see you here. I'll visit your blog as soon as I get a chance. I hope all is well with you!
Deletehow nice you both got second shots dear Martha such a relief i agree
ReplyDeletewith first shot i did not feel much different but slightly dull and feverish for few days though i am little nervous about second in August hope it goes same as first one and does not bother more .

It was wonderful, Baili! I really enjoyed the time with them and it did my heart good. It had been too long. I do hope you get to see your son soon. I know how much you've missed him. And I hope your second shot goes well. I hope you are having a lovely week so far!
DeleteI wanna be a cat in my next life!!
ReplyDeleteHappy you got to spend time with your daughter and partner. Maybe recruit them to do some heavy digging in your garden? Oh YOUTH! lol
Here's to growing extra arms!!
You and me both, Jim! I want to come back as one of MY cats. They run the household. LOL
DeleteHAHAHA! Those youngsters, eh? I think they'd outlast me in the garden. They are two very active young people!
Still no extra arm, Jim. Very disappointed. But perhaps it just needs more time. :)
I am a retired blogger from Israel(IDF),I have a new FUNNY/HUMOR blog: funnylinksblog.wordpress.com and I am interested in a Reciprocal Links with your great blog,if it's possible, please.I think Humor is important to people, anywhere, anytime, any blog...Best wishes,David.
ReplyDeleteI'll check out the blog. Thank you!
DeleteHa! I really liked the last one. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I'm glad you enjoyed. :)
DeleteConspiracy theories usually do attract some really dumbass people
ReplyDeleteIt's shocking how many people believe in them.
DeleteSo pleased that you had a good time seeing your daughter and boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteGood news that you have had your second vaccinations ...
Many thanks for the laughs.
Happy Canada Day and Happy July Wishes.
All the best Jan
Thank you, Jan! I hope you had a lovely week.
DeleteLOL at the shark!!! I love those funnies Martha! Oh what a shame you didn't grow another head, that way you could think twice as hard and create more brain heat from those thoughts! ;) ;) Did you have a reaction to the second shot? Which one did you get?
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! One head is more than enough for me, Rain! Any more heat being generated and I'll burn the house down. I did have a reaction to the second shot. Probably every possible side effect listed! LOL But it was only for about half a day and I slept throughout that period. Woke up after that back to normal. George and I both got Moderna for our second shot.
DeleteI love the funnies, Martha - especially the Eucalyptus/Pine Street one. Glad you and your husband have had your second shot. I had Moderna as my second shot as well and had fever and chills for about eight hours. Beats having Covid, though. I have too many risk factors to be careless or stupid about it.
ReplyDeleteoh that is so me! Dragging the guy over to Pine St so he could spell the name - hahahahaha. when i was teaching i had a dictionary in my hand all day long I think, spelling has never been my strong suit, that cartoon made me laugh out loud - but i enjoyed them all Martha! have a great week!'
