Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, everyone! I'm back. I missed last week's post. The week got away from me and I just never got around to it. But here I am to make you all smile again! What would you do without me?

How are you all doing. What are you up to? What's going on in your part of the world? Pretty quiet on our end, which I'm grateful for. We've been watching the series Atypical for the past little while and we're really enjoying it. Has anyone seen it? Share you news in the comments and tell me what's happening on your end.

Nothing else to report at this time, so I'll get right to the funny stuff. Enjoy, blogging pals, and have a wonderful week ahead!

  4. Well, that's a valid IQ test.

The ark must have taken more than two of some things, to keep the carnivores fed for 150 days or whatever it was, without losing lots of species in the process.

    1. Definitely! Some critical thinking will surely come to that conclusion!

  5. If the ark thing actually happened, inbreeding would have killed the entire land population

  6. Martha, thanks for the laughs. I thought the Mother Wrench was priceless. I have seen computer scams asking for your credit card number, so those that enter fail the IQ test.

  7. These are excellent, Martha, especially Mother Wrench and the poor dog who wants to solve the puzzle. I know Franklin would think he knew the answer. Did you find something you felt like reading? I'm about 1/3 of the way through Still Life With Breadcrumbs by Anna Quindlen. I like her books. I've also started The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis. I'd never heard of the book, but I loved the series on Netflix so when I found out it was based on a book, I had to read it. I have Atypical in My List on Netflix and I'm sure I'll start to watch it soon.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. I'm trying different books, Janie. I have a lot of books waiting to be read, so I have plenty to choose from! But nothing seems to be sticking. Not sure what I need at this time. Maybe I have burned myself out and I should consider taking a break. Hmm... We watched The Queen's Gambit and really enjoyed it. We just finished Atypical and I highly recommend it. It was very enjoyable. I've read a few of Anna Quindlen's novels but not that one. I wonder if I have something of hers on one of my bookshelves. I should check!

  13. Martha -- not sure whether you read Kay's blog (in Hawaii)? She has a post about fixing headers:

    https://travelerswife.blogspot.com/2021/07/do-not-call-list-and-how-to-fix-your.html

I'm not tech-savvy enough to know if it would help your missing-header problem, but I thought I'd mention it.

  17. HEE HEE HEE HEE...these were especially funny. The IQ one got me laughing. One time Alex was trying to act smart and he said he had an IQ of 3500, I think he would have put in his credit card number lol...the wrench one, all I could hear was the late and great Steve Irwin's voice! I don't know what I'D do without you Martha!! :)
