Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I want to begin by thanking all of you for your kind messages and well wishes last week. I'm halfway through my medication and on the mend. Next week, after I'm done with all the pills, I hope that this infection is truly gone. Onwards and upwards...

What are you all up to these days? Please share in the comments. We had our first big snowstorm on Friday, so it looks like a Canadian winter outside. But it's not that cold, which I'm grateful for. I actually enjoy having snow on the ground. It brightens up the city, which otherwise looks grey and dull. Still...nothing beats my favourite season of the year: spring! I'm counting down to that.

I have nothing else to add at this time. Absolutely nothing. Zip. Zero. So let's get right to the funny stuff. Have a wonderful week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Tuesday, blogging pals! How are you all doing? What's going on? What are you up to? What is happening in your part of the world? Share in the comments!

I'm a day late posting but that couldn't be helped. Yesterday, we spent over 14 hours at our local hospital's emergency section. I was finally sent home with two prescriptions and a diagnosis of kidney infection. Our hospital is very understaffed and the employees there are under pressure, but despite that, everyone we dealt with was attentive, patient, compassionate and very professional. I cannot say enough good things about them and how grateful I was for their care.

Okay, that's that...

I'm going to keep this short because my one and only plan for today is to do nothing. Nothing at all. I'm going to focus on slacking off. So enjoy the funnies and have an amazing rest of the week! I'll be by to visit your blogs very soon. Be well, everyone!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging pals. And happy December, too! We are fast approaching the end of another year. What have you been up to? Not the whole year, just last week! We took a day trip to Montreal and that's always fun. We live in a small city right now but I've got a lot of big city in me. I adore being there and I'm always game to take a drive east to our hometown of Montreal or north to Ottawa. We're fortunate to be living only an hour's drive away from both areas, so getting there is easy.

Last week we watched the first part of season 5 of the series "Vikings". We'd been eagerly waiting for the latest episodes on Netflix and when they finally showed up, we dove right in. I enjoy the story but not the violence. When that's going on, I totally tune out. I turn away and sometimes I even block my ears. I cannot stand watching any type of violence or cruelty, especially when animals are involved! Does anyone else do this? Or are you glued to the scenes?

Anyhow, I've got a very busy day ahead, so let's get right to the funny stuff. I hope the images make you laugh and I wish you all a wonderful week ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, everyone! How are you all doing and what have you been up to? Share in the comments below! We're trying to keep busy but not too busy. Because you also have to make time to enjoy life, right? We did make time to get together with another couple on Saturday evening. We met up with them for coffee and tea, and ended up talking and laughing for over two hours. They are so much fun to be with!

Hey, has anyone been watching the new series "Wednesday" on Netflix? It's based upon the daughter from the Addams Family. We just wrapped it up a few days ago...and we really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun and the acting was great. One of my favourite characters in the series is Thing. It's just a disembodied hand but the performance was very entertaining and quite delightful. My only complaint about the series is that there were only eight episodes in season 1, which is definitely not enough! I hope there are many more seasons up ahead.

That's all I have to say for now, so let's get to the funny stuff. Have a great week, everyone!

Chuckles and Chortles

Hey, blogging friends! Happy Monday to you. How was your weekend? How are you doing? What's new with you? I hope life is treating you well. Share in the comments what you've been up to...and anything else that you want to mention.

Snow! We have snow on the ground and it's cold. Bleh... My apologies to all winter lovers. Well, not really. I can't apologize for a season that I'm not a big fan of. I can handle winter for about a month and that's it. But winters are much longer than that here. If we could, the most amazing man in the world and I would leave for a warmer climate during the coldest months of the year. But alas, we cannot, so we remain here.

Despite how windy and cold it was yesterday, we met up with a couple of friends for dinner at a restaurant nearby. I bundled up like I was heading to the arctic, because the older I get, the less I tolerate the cold. Must be my ancestral Mediterranean blood. I'm not built for this type of weather! Anyhow, it was worth it dealing with the cold. We had a great time.

Other than that, it's been pretty quiet. I've got a list of projects I'd like to tackle around the house...with little to no motivation to do them! But I'm going to kick myself in the rear and do them. What about you? Are you working on anything lately?

That's it for now. Let's get to the funny stuff. Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, bloggers! How are you all doing? What's going on in your part of the world? What are you reading, watching and experiencing? Share in the comments. I'd love to know what you're up to.

I'm happily enjoying a quiet period right now. Today I intend to do nothing whatsoever. I did do some exercises in the morning and I'll be off to the shower as soon as I'm done here. But other than that, nothing. Zip. Zero. I want a day to kick back and unwind. We may go out for a coffee and tea date this evening but that's about it.

And we may play a video game together after we get back. The most amazing man in the world treated us to a PS4 Pro console recently, which he bought secondhand. Our last PlayStation is a PS2. Yeah...that far back. We're not big gamers but we dabble from time to time. Are any of you into playing video games? Anyhow, we're curious to see how far the gaming industry has gone in terms of graphics and all the rest.

Okay, that's enough of that. I'll get right to the funny stuff. Enjoy, laugh out loud and have an amazing week ahead!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy new week, blogging pals! I hope November is off to a great start for all of you. What's going on? What have you been up to? What's keeping you busy these days? We've continued to have some pretty amazing weather. I'm not sure how long it will last but we'll enjoy it while we have it. Yesterday we got our new furnace and hot water tank installed! Phew...what a relief. We don't have to worry about either one quitting during the winter. The company that serviced us comes highly recommended by local friends and with good reason. They did a great job and we will certainly recommend it to others. Our two cats were not quite as pleased. They stayed hidden throughout the whole ordeal, a little freaked out by all the different people going in and out of the house...and all the noise NOISE noise! They are happy things are back to normal and so are we. Because we also like things quiet.

I've got a very busy day ahead, so I'm going to get right to the funny stuff. Enjoy them, laugh out loud and have an amazing week ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles

Hey, everyone! Happy Monday, happy last day of October, happy Halloween and Samhain blessings. That should just about cover it.
What are you all up to these days? What's keeping you busy? What are you reading, watching, doing, creating...? Busybodies want to know! Our home is keeping us busy, and we'll be installing a new furnace and hot water tank in the next couple of weeks. It's time. Both are getting on in years and we especially don't want the furnace failing during the winter. It can get mighty cold around here during that season.

It's been more or less quiet but we did enjoy a day trip to Ottawa last Tuesday, which is always a treat. We would love to live there but it's just not possible yet. Perhaps in the future, we'll get that done! We also got together with a couple on Saturday night where we shared drinks, laughter and fun. And tonight we'll be going out to dinner with another couple whose company we also enjoy. As introverts, we enjoy these small gatherings with good people.

I've got nothing else to add, so it's time for some funny stuff. Enjoy them and have a wonderful week ahead.
