Happy Monday, everyone! And happy April! I wish you all an amazing month ahead. Let's hope it's a good one. How are you all doing? What's going on and what are you up to? What's keeping you busy and what's holding your attention these days? Share in the comments below and tell me all about it.
It was a busy and productive week. I started my spring cleaning, which will probably go on for a while. I'm tackling one room, one project at a time. I'd like to get all this over and done with, so we can then shift our focus to the outdoors. It won't be long before we're out in the garden, out on our bikes and out on day trips. I'm looking forward to all three!
Saturday night we met up for dinner with my best friend and her husband in Vaudreuil, which is a small city about 40 minutes drive from our home. She and I had recently seen each other but it had been over two years since the four of us got together. What an amazing time we had! Nothing like spending time with people who make you laugh out loud and people who you can totally just be yourself with. Friday night, the most amazing man in the world went to watch a band play with a couple of friends and tonight we are going out for dinner with one of those friends and his partner. I feel like we're all excited to be getting together with people again after such a long time of being apart. It feels good to gather with others in person and catch up.
And that's it for now. I've got a very busy day planned, which will keep me out of trouble! I hope you all have a great week ahead. And I hope you enjoy all the funny images below! Be well, my friends.
OMG that eel!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? ACK!!
DeleteGlad you are socializing again Martha! Friends just spent the winter in florida, I have nothing to report still staying home.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see others, Christine, although we are keeping it low key. Just one couple at a time. But it's still wonderful!
DeleteIt is another Monday, and thank you for the laughs. Had to laugh at the origin of guitar picks, and jellyfish launcher. Have a great week, Martha.
ReplyDeleteThose two are hilarious! It's a lot of fun putting these together! Have a wonderful week ahead!
DeleteAlthough restrictions have been lifted here as well, the recommendation is still to mask and keep gatherings limited. It sounds like you're doing all of that but still getting some normalcy back. I love the funnies - the cat watching his person clean the litter box - yes! That's what my cats do. I don't know if they're lording it over me or they're embarrassed but they never lift a paw to help, that's for sure :D Love the guitar picks and the jellyfish launcher. I always have a hard time with graphics being used instead of words - I don't find them intuitive at all!
ReplyDeleteIt's the same here! There are actually quite a few people continuing to wear masks. And we are seeing others but only one couple at a time. Or one friend at a time. We'll see how things go. It's one day at a time right now as we move forward. Fingers crossed that things remain stable.
DeleteHAHAH! My cats are the same. they make the mess but refuse to help cleaning it up.
I bet I could cross that field in nine seconds if somebody was chasing me intending to apply the Chinese cure for constipation. Or if I somehow managed to fire myself from the jellyfish launcher, which would undoubtedly happen if I owned that truck.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! I bet you could under those circumstances! LOL
DeleteWe are currently cleaning as much as we can which is a struggle because my wife likes to hold onto things for far too long.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely don't want any things little all over the floor as our son will be born in a few months
Sounds like an busy and exciting time at your place, Adam! Looking forward to hearing about the birth of your son! You're going to make an amazing father.
DeleteHaha. This last one is perfectly sassy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, Martha.
Right? HAHA I hope your Monday was fabulous, Robyn!
DeleteSounds like you have had a busy week. The world is waking up after winter......kinda.
ReplyDeleteAlways wondered where guitar picks came from......now I know! lol
Now you know where they come from, Jim! The secret is out. LOL It does feel like the world is waking up after the winter. It'll be nice to have flowers growing and trees in full bloom!
DeleteLove all the funnies! Thanks for the smiles.
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure, Linda!
DeleteHa ha!! Thanks for the chuckles. Happy April!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Kay! Have a wonderful April.
DeleteWe have been shopping! We're looking into senior accommodations. Not they we will move soon. We want to know what's out there just in case.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with looking around to see what's out there!
DeleteYou post the best comics!! That eel ewwww... Hope you get that spring cleaning done soon and get the heck out doors. I don't have any spring cleaning because i had family last week and before that i got everything detailed and organized. So I guess I don't have to clean until next spring. i wish.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on it, Sandy, one room at a time. And I take a few days break in-between. I don't want to be saddled with chores when there's a whole world waiting for me outside! Even if it takes the entire month to get the house in order, I don't care!
DeleteIt is lovely to go out and meet people for meals etc. isn't it? Spring cleaning is less appealing. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laughs! Have a great week.
I LOVE going out for meals with people, Joey. It is one of my favourite things to do. We kick back, relax and just enjoy each other's company. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful week so far!
DeleteGlad you got to go out with friends. Nice bunch of funnies. Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of Sammy. XO
ReplyDeleteNo need to thank me, Ellen. It is a hard time for you. I hope the wonderful memories you created with Sammy provide you with some comfort. xo
DeleteIt is so good to be able to go out and enjoy time with friends ...
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the chuckles ...
