Chuckles and Chortles

Hey, everyone! Happy Monday, happy last day of October, happy Halloween and Samhain blessings. That should just about cover it.
What are you all up to these days? What's keeping you busy? What are you reading, watching, doing, creating...? Busybodies want to know! Our home is keeping us busy, and we'll be installing a new furnace and hot water tank in the next couple of weeks. It's time. Both are getting on in years and we especially don't want the furnace failing during the winter. It can get mighty cold around here during that season.

It's been more or less quiet but we did enjoy a day trip to Ottawa last Tuesday, which is always a treat. We would love to live there but it's just not possible yet. Perhaps in the future, we'll get that done! We also got together with a couple on Saturday night where we shared drinks, laughter and fun. And tonight we'll be going out to dinner with another couple whose company we also enjoy. As introverts, we enjoy these small gatherings with good people.

I've got nothing else to add, so it's time for some funny stuff. Enjoy them and have a wonderful week ahead.

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, blogging friends! What's going on with you? Share in the comments below. I'm going to keep this post short and sweet. I've got a busy day lined up and we also have our municipal elections to tend to. We'll be heading out to vote later this morning. When we're done, we'll go out for lunch. A little treat to pat ourselves on the back for being such responsible citizens. *snort* I haven't missed an election for many, many years. It's funny how I wouldn't even show up to vote in my younger years and now I never miss one. Our weather has been amazing! It's suddenly spring again. Yesterday, my friend and I met up in the morning for another marathon walk of about three hours. We dressed in layers because it was very cool at the beginning of our walk. By the time we finished, we had shed the extra layers and gone home wearing a t-shirt. T-shirt weather this late in October! That's how nice it's been. Hey, I'll take it. Okay, gotta go. I'm ready for my second cup of coffee, but most importantly, the blue jays have shown up and they're shrieking. They are ready for their morning peanuts. Enjoy the funnies and have a fabulous week!

Chuckles and Chortles

I'm back with the funnies, lovely people. Happy Monday to all of you. How are you doing? What is going on with you? I've been busy, busy, busy... The garden is cleaned up and ready to rest and de-cluttering is going great. The weather has been pretty good so far, save for today when it's cool and rainy. I don't mind because it'll be a welcome day of rest. Yesterday was really nice, so my friend and I took a very long walk in the morning. I'm not sure how many more of these mornings we'll have because eventually it will get too cold to do that. But I'll take as many as we can get!

Speaking of the garden, there are still some plants putting on quite a show. I took some photos a few days ago and here they are:

Aren't they just spectacular! I love that we still have all this colour in the flower beds. Might as well enjoy it because it won't be long before all the plants call it quits.

I won't keep you much longer as you all have other things to do. Enjoy the funny stuff and have an amazing week!

Chuckles and Chortles

Happy Monday, lovely friends. And happy October! I missed a post last week but that couldn't be helped. It was a busy period and I just never got around to it. This week will also be very busy, especially in the garden. I need to clean things up and get them into storage. The weather is still quite nice and quite a few plants are still flowering, but all the statues and pots need to be put away now. It's been a really wonderful gardening season but I'm looking forward to a break now. It'll be nice to focus on other things. I've got a whole bunch of projects indoors that I'd like to tackle in the next few months.

What's been going on with you? Please share in the comments below. We're keeping busy around here and we're also keeping busy socially. I personally have been to my hometown of Montreal twice within the past ten days. My first visit was for brunch with friends I've known since I was a youngster. And my second visit was for lunch with friends I used to work with back in the early 2000s. And the most amazing man in the world and I have had a dinner date and two coffee dates with friends that live in this city. I don't think we've ever socialized with other people as much as we have in the past few months. We seem to be making up for the past two years. It's been wonderful!

Not much else to share. I'll be spending the day in the garden cleaning up and taking photos of autumn flowers that I'll share with you on my next post. Enjoy the funnies and have a wonderful week ahead.
