Happy Monday, bloggers! How are you all doing? What's going on in your part of the world? What are you reading, watching and experiencing? Share in the comments. I'd love to know what you're up to.
I'm happily enjoying a quiet period right now. Today I intend to do nothing whatsoever. I did do some exercises in the morning and I'll be off to the shower as soon as I'm done here. But other than that, nothing. Zip. Zero. I want a day to kick back and unwind. We may go out for a coffee and tea date this evening but that's about it.
And we may play a video game together after we get back. The most amazing man in the world treated us to a PS4 Pro console recently, which he bought secondhand. Our last PlayStation is a PS2. Yeah...that far back. We're not big gamers but we dabble from time to time. Are any of you into playing video games? Anyhow, we're curious to see how far the gaming industry has gone in terms of graphics and all the rest.
Okay, that's enough of that. I'll get right to the funny stuff. Enjoy, laugh out loud and have an amazing week ahead!
Hi Martha, thanks for the smiles and laughs on a gloomy Monday. They are always appreciated.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed.
DeleteThat last one, LOL! And the guarding a temple one too!
ReplyDeleteThe last one is the best! Had me laughing out loud.
DeleteThat packing insert looks very Aztec. I'd be spooked. And that dog looking over the fence definitely gives off a serial-killer vibe. What are we all doing? Down here south of the border we're still decompressing from all the election stress. Things turned out better than expected, overall.
ReplyDeleteCurrently reading this, recommended by a favorite blog. Quite entertaining.
Yes, things did turn out better than expected! Up here in Canada, many of us were holding our breath, waiting to see the results. I checked out the link for that book and it sounds interesting. And somewhat funny! I'll have to check it out as I know people with that mentality.
DeleteWhen the boss says go home, don't wait around for clarification.
ReplyDeleteThat's right! Just leave.
DeleteI loved the going home one too. Boss: not like that!
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Well, the boss did say to have a good day.
DeleteThat dog reminds me of Heath Ledger as The Joker. I know nothing about gaming. I played Pac Man or something once in an arcade during the mid '80s. It was kind of fun but I never felt an interest in playing again. I've always had so many demands on my time that when I do have time to relax I usually watch a movie or series and of course, I love to read. I've started Like A Rolling Stone by Jann Wenner, and I just watched season 5 of The Crown. Hope you had fun!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I just read your post on season five of The Crown and I couldn't agree more! It was quite disappointing. Ah well, time to move onto something else... I hope you've been enjoying a nice week!
DeleteSometimes, it is just so nice to have a quiet day.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I play video games is when we go to see the grandchildren.
On the odd occasion I have played a game with them (I am not good) they always tell me I did ok!
Bless them :)
Many thanks for the smiles, my favourite is the guarding a temple one.
Have a good week.
All the best Jan
Your grandkids are sweet, Jan! I'm sure they enjoy playing with you no matter what type of player you are. I hope you've been enjoying a lovely week!
DeleteThese are hilarious Martha!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed, Christine!
DeleteSounds like a good way to spend the day
ReplyDeleteWorks for me!
DeleteLove the last one! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteAnd you! I hope it's been a good one.
DeleteIt has turned nice again so I'm outside again.
ReplyDeleteWe should enjoy good weather whenever we have it!
DeleteIt is nice to have a day with nothing to do. Great bunch of funnies. Have a wonderful week. XO
ReplyDeleteDays with nothing to do are necessary from time to time! I hope you have been enjoying a wonderful week. xo
DeleteI love them all! Especially the packaging one. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed! I hope your week has been a good one.
DeleteBreaks recharge so enjoy the one dear Martha: )
ReplyDeletePlaying games is beneficial for brain at our age so keep playing. Our sons often encourage to play but hubby have no interest
Thanks for smiles I enjoyed the all but last two more
Hugs and blessings
You are absolutely right, Baili. Games are beneficial for our brain. My husband and I try to keep our brains active as much as possible. I hope your week is going well. Hugs and blessings to you!
DeleteMy stepdaughter likes the old Mario Party games from N64 that she can play emulated on the Nintendo Switch. She's so excited that mom is playing with her tonight
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun, Adam. My husband and I used to play games with the kids when they were young. We really enjoyed that as a family, especially during the long, cold winter months.
