Hey, blogging friends! Happy Monday to you. How was your weekend? How are you doing? What's new with you? I hope life is treating you well. Share in the comments what you've been up to...and anything else that you want to mention.
Snow! We have snow on the ground and it's cold. Bleh... My apologies to all winter lovers. Well, not really. I can't apologize for a season that I'm not a big fan of. I can handle winter for about a month and that's it. But winters are much longer than that here. If we could, the most amazing man in the world and I would leave for a warmer climate during the coldest months of the year. But alas, we cannot, so we remain here.
Despite how windy and cold it was yesterday, we met up with a couple of friends for dinner at a restaurant nearby. I bundled up like I was heading to the arctic, because the older I get, the less I tolerate the cold. Must be my ancestral Mediterranean blood. I'm not built for this type of weather! Anyhow, it was worth it dealing with the cold. We had a great time.
Other than that, it's been pretty quiet. I've got a list of projects I'd like to tackle around the house...with little to no motivation to do them! But I'm going to kick myself in the rear and do them. What about you? Are you working on anything lately?
That's it for now. Let's get to the funny stuff. Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
The thing with winter is to get out and enjoy it. We look forward to it as much as any other season, and greatly prefer it to summer with heat, humidity and biting insects. Winter is terrific!
ReplyDeleteI hear you, David, but I'll take spring and fall over winter anytime! Summer has gotten hotter each year and it's not a favourite of mine anymore. And I only enjoy the milder winter days. When it's really cold, I cannot tolerate it no matter how well I dress. When it's mild, it's a wonderful season to be outdoors, especially when you're snapping those scenic winter images!
DeleteI like the zebra doing the coloring!
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute one! I'm glad you enjoyed.
Delete"no motivation to do them!" I was going to say welcome to the club but then you went and ruined it! Think about them before you do any of them. You could make things worse. Don't take any chances!
ReplyDeleteBAHAHAHAHA! Your comment is tops this week. And I haven't actually started anything yet this week, so I may very well take your advice. Why take any chances, right?
DeleteOh it's been cold. Thanks for the laughs!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Christine!
DeleteCan't stand snow and ice. Too slippery and dangerous.
ReplyDeleteThose cats are really pushing their luck. Perhaps humans indulge them too much.....
Cats are indeed very spoiled! I am guilty of that!
DeleteLOL @ the last one! I used to have a t-shirt back in the day that was all zebras except for one rainbow-coloured zebra. I loved that tee!
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds awesome. I had some interesting pieces of clothing in my youth. Sometimes I wish I'd kept a few pieces just for fun.
Delete"When your cat is comfortable..." has a ring of truth and brought a smile. Thanks, Martha.
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure!
DeleteWinter is a lot attitude! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteYes, very true. I just don't want to be outside when it's really cold!
DeleteThanks for the chuckles! Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI hope you do, too!
DeleteIt's damp and chilly here with gray skies. Rather disheartening. I miss snow days in Maryland when the kids would be out of school and we'd play games and watch movies. I don't miss shoveling snow, and I don't miss shivering from the cold.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I like how scenic winter looks, Janie! And I used to enjoy snow days with my kids when they were young. But I don't like the cold. I would happily enjoy being away during the winter at a warmer destination. A couple of weeks of winter is enough for me!
DeleteHa, ha love the waffle iron!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed!
DeleteIt's American Thanksgiving this week. I am excited to see extended family meet baby Alexander
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Adam! I've no doubt your little guy will be the star!
DeleteSo pleased you had a nice evening with your friends.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a lot of strong winds and rain recently, I much prefer cooler days, with perhaps a little frost in the morning and sunshine later ... then you can wrap up warm and enjoy a walk.
My favourite chuckle was your last one :)
Have a good week.
All the best Jan
I'm with you, Jan! Those types of days are lovely. I don't like extreme cold or extreme heat. I'm all about comfortable weather. I hope you've been enjoying a nice week!
DeleteGlad you got to have a night out with friends despite the cold weather. Just be thankful you didn't get all the snow like they did in Buffalo. I can't even imagine how hard that would be to remove. I don't mind cold since my hot flashes started a few years ago. :) Great bunch of funnies. Have a wonderful week. XO
ReplyDeleteI am very thankful that we didn't get all that snow! I hope you've been enjoying a wonderful week. xo
DeleteOh dear that cat joke reminds myself :)
ReplyDeleteI genuinely loved winters I still but like you my body protests against the season now even though our winters are like your spring. Hugs and blessings
