Happy new week, everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I want to begin by thanking all of you for your kind messages and well wishes last week. I'm halfway through my medication and on the mend. Next week, after I'm done with all the pills, I hope that this infection is truly gone. Onwards and upwards...
What are you all up to these days? Please share in the comments. We had our first big snowstorm on Friday, so it looks like a Canadian winter outside. But it's not that cold, which I'm grateful for. I actually enjoy having snow on the ground. It brightens up the city, which otherwise looks grey and dull. Still...nothing beats my favourite season of the year: spring! I'm counting down to that.
I have nothing else to add at this time. Absolutely nothing. Zip. Zero. So let's get right to the funny stuff. Have a wonderful week ahead!
Heh..... like any sane person would be worried about gluten when there's all that refined sugar.....
ReplyDeleteIf you have a cat getting involved while wrapping presents, that explains why the tape and scissors keep disappearing. But you can't blame the cat, with a bunch of empty boxes presumably there to tempt it.
Glad to hear you're on the mend!
I never blame the cat! There's too much temptation around. How can it resist?
DeleteI too could use an adult "elf on the shelf!" Glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteAn adult "elf on the shelf" would be great!
Delete"Paws," LOL! And I need one of those Elf on the Shelf helpers too!
ReplyDeleteI think all of us can use that type of Elf on the Shelf!
DeleteI love the scared moviegoers afraid to climb trees now -- cue ominous music.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! There always has to be ominous music.
DeleteFunny! It is cold outside, I feel like hibernating.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both, Christine! I'd like to wake up in the spring.
DeleteGood that you are feeling better. Stay warm and have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThanks, e! One day at a time.
DeleteThanks for the Christmas laughs, Martha. Love the reindeer with the zit. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteI didn't miss this one. Still glad you're doing better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mike! You're on a roll.
DeleteGlad you are on the mend. I hope you are fully recovered for Christmas. Best bunch of funnies- I love the Paws one and the one about the time spent removing cat from wrapping paper-very true. XO
ReplyDeleteI do hope I am fully recovered soon enough. It's a slow process but every step forward is good. I hope you and your gang have been enjoying a wonderful week. xo
DeleteHappy to hear that you're feeling better. As always a fun look at the holiday season! I'm also looking for an Elf that cleans up the house. That would be perfect! Surprised you said it wasn't so cold there, we must be getting all the cold down here in Minnesota! It's even supposed to be cold in the very southern coastal states, those people are literally going to freeze. I feel so bad for the immigrants at the border, I'm sure many were thinking they would be in the US with friends and relatives for Christmas. I'm hoping that situation is worked out as quickly as possible. Makes me very grateful for all the comforts we enjoy here. Merry Christmas to you and your family Martha! ~ Diane
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how hard it is for areas or individuals that are not used to and not equipped for the cold. My heart goes out to them. We do take for granted the comforts that we enjoy. We tend to forget how fortunate we are. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas, Diane!
DeleteMartha! Martha! Martha! Merry Christmas to you, my love. Don't tell, but I'm working right now. Yet somehow, I'm on my personal laptop visiting blogs. Hmmmmmm. I always love your funnies. All the cats and Christmas memes are funny.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I didn't tell, Janie, and I hope you didn't get caught visiting blogs while you should be working! Thank you for the lovely wishes. Wishing you and yours the same, especially those sweet doggies of yours! xo
DeleteSo pleased that you are now halfway through your medication and on the mend ... good news:)
ReplyDeleteLove the adult version of elf on the shelf ... wouldn't it be wonderful! LOL!
Have a good week and merry Christmas wishes.
All the best Jan
Thanks, Jan! I'm taking it one day at a time. Next week will show if I'm fully recovered or not. Fingers crossed it's over. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Wishing you all well!
